I still think this is a very good team. Other than the Evans TD the Defense was good. Sanchez has to play better. Some one needs to work with him on going through his reads. Thats always been his major problem. The coaching staff will fix this and the Jets will be fine. They will beat Oakland and win the rematch vs Miami. So im not jumping off the bandwagon yet.

They are 3-3 with 10 games left they are hardly out of the playoff hunt.

    Funniest post of the day.

At first I thought it was sarcasm, but afterwards I realized it was just simple stupidity.

By the way, Peyton Manning and the Colts went 3-13 during his rookie season...this is a Colts team with one of the best running backs of all time - Marshall Faulk had ridiculous stats in '98: 1300 yards rushing and 900 yards receiving.

    Nice post Mr.E.

I think the game today was stacked against Sanchez succeeding.
    1. The first time he's played a game in these conditions.
    2. J Co and B Smith were both out (his real #1 and #2 receivers)
    3. Not enough time to sync up with Braylon Edwards
    4. Just bad play calling by Schotty IMO. When you see Sanchez struggling in the wind, don't call for long bombs down the field. Let's simplify it for him and get him some easy fast short passes.
    5. Penalties by everyone...

this thread is one of the few shining beacons in a sea of shit that litter this board post loss. as new as i am, i'm learning those that aren't fair weather fans. having said that, i'll reiterate that i totally agree with the original post.
sadly, common sense can't be delegated.

He fucking sucked today. I don't want to hear that we need to give him time, that we need to baby him along. This is the NFL, not my 4th grade field day. It's put up or shut up time, and Sanchez needs to get better or get off the field.

I'm not giving up on Sanchez. I think he's gonna be great. But today he sucked and he deserved to be benched because he was playing so poorly that he cost us the game. The other thing that needed to happen was that Rex Ryan needed to tell schotty to simplify that game plan - keep it on the ground and short passes. Repeatedly Schotty screwed the pooch by making assinine play calls which put Sanchez in unmanageable 3d down situations.

I understood what munkey was trying to say...

Sanchez has been practicing with Smith and J-Co for a while now. I'm sure Braylon Edwards doesn't have total knowledge of the playbook yet. Also, Sanchez and Edwards chemistry won't develop until after the bye week probably.

I think that's what he meant.

I hear your point about the playcalling. I would have liked to see them give Sanchez better opportunities to complete passes rather than launching it downfield.

That said, there were at least a couple of INTs that looked like they were just floated up for grabs when he could have just gotten rid of it out of bounds. I feel like he was making much better decisions in the first few games than he is now, but I do agree that Schotty has to do a better job of easing his load as well. Especially when you have the type of day running that we did today.

horrible play calls? what are you saying? it was shotts who threw the ball, or made the decision to throw the ball? he may have called the play, he may not have, but it was sanchez's actions that killed us today!so i guess it was shotts who won the first three games and not sanchez? sanchez was inaccurate all day as far as i am concerned, and this loss is on his shoulders alone. i must add that the hartsock holding call killed our chances of salvaging a win in a game where we would have gotten blown out if we were playing a good team. this loss hurts in a bad way, especially considering we may have lost other players on a team that has bitten by the injury bug all season long.
