jamarcus russell is playing well today. he made a nice spin move on chris gocong to pick up a first down.
It's funny how the Raiders try one game a month. In September they tried against Kansas City. In October they tried against Philadelphia. In their other games they barely gave an effort. It's as if they save up all their energy for one game per month. They play the Jets next week. If the pattern holds, the Jets will have the game won before halftime.
52-0. This is as thorough of an ass beating as I've seen in a while. Not even close to over. Why in the blue hell is Brady even still in there? Only bad things could happen to him. I'd pull the entire starting team.
Because Belicheat thinks running up the score is the classy thing to do. It's a shame the Titans don't do more to stand up for themselves. At least take a penalty for aggression or something.
NE passed on 4th and 6 @ the TEN 31 up 52-0 with 1 minute left in the 4th Quarter. I'd like to hear Fisher's comments after the game.
The Patriots are assholes. Run the ball, you dicks. I'm sure Fisher has told his guys to go weapons hot on Brady, and I hope someone gets a clean (or even late and cheap) shot at him.
Final score should have been 61-0. Young was tackled in the end zone but the refs claimed he had made forward progress at the 2. It was total bullshit.
Kevin Vickerson took it out on a cameraman. While a play was ending, it actually appeared that Vickerson purposefully knocked down a cameraman. Phil Simms and Jim Nantz thought so, too. At least it appeared that way. Kerry Collins was not pulled until the score was 59-0. I don't understand why Vince Young wasn't in the game at the start of the 3rd quarter. I mean, we know Young sucks, but c'mon, get Collins out of the game. What was the point? Weird play on that minus 22 yard catch by Nate Washington. I'm not sure that that play will stay as a reception. I didn't see a replay of it and would like to see it again for sure. It looked like Collins may have fumbled the ball and Washington simply caught the fumble. Washington then fumbled himself and lost a bunch of yards. Well, as it stands right now, Collins was 2 of 12 for minus 7 yards.
Both sides were idiots in this one....Pats for leaving Brady in to run up the score...and Titans for leaving Collins in to stink up the joint. See what happens when you stomp on the Terrible Towel? Titans haven't won since!
Brady came out in the 3rd quarter. The way the Titans defense was playing nothing bad was going to happen to Brady. I've been watching NFL games religiously since 1984 and I don't think I've seen a bigger ass beating than this one. The Patriots set a franchise record for points and yards. Tentatively, Tennessee has been charged with minus 7 passing yards. Brady set, or tied, a record with 5 touchdown passes in one quarter. CBS flashed a stat indicating that Brady was the first to do it since 1950, so I'm wondering if Jim Hardy threw 5 or all 6 of his TDs in a single quarter on 10/2/50.
