i thought the jets played pretty darn well. the defense ran into a team playing a very unusual offense and playing it *perfectly*. the offense made strides. it was a tough loss in a hostile building. coulda gone either way and i reckon nearly every other nfl team would have lost that game. shit happens.

Holy shit!! A post by a Jest fan that I actually agree with. Trust me, as a life long Finfan, I see this crap all too often. Being a true fan means you deal with losses and adversity. You don't run for cover at the first sign of trouble. Your team is not bad, it's a good team. But, the Fins are a good team as well. It's the fuckin NFL. Good teams beat other good teams, and even though I hate to say this, the Jests will be in it again at the end of the season. Unfortunately, the AFC East is now one of the toughest divisions in football. And the team that wins it will have more than two losses. I'd be willing to bet that the team who wins the AFC East will have five losses...maybe six. The division is that tough. Not to mention the AFC east teams have tough as hell schedules. Shit, did I just say that out loud? What I meant to say, the Fins sure looked good last night and I enjoyed every minute of it. Sorry, but the Wildcat, ran by the Fins, is not a gimmick. It's a piece of the Fins offense that helped make a real good defense look average at best. Say what you want, but that is a good Fins team!!

Football is a sport. It's for entertainment purposes only, and I have to say every single time I watch a jet game it feels like my heart will jump out of my chest. It's not very fun. But I will always be a jet fan.
Why - after every loss your saying everyone sucks and we need to fire this coach or OC/DC . Hey I feel like shit after a Jets loss too, but I realize sometimes the other teams just outplays or outcoaches us.

The problem is that people get WAY TO EXCITED before there is really any reason too. We win 3 games, in impressive fashion for sure, and all of a sudden fans are calling into the fan talking about winning 14 games this year and Super Bowl's...Simma down a bit and stop over reacting every time the Jets have a good week and the games like last night do not feel so catastrophic...They are a good team, not a great one, with a good looking rookie quarterback and an above average defense...nothing more, nothing less.

The problem with most young fans is they aren't battle hardened yet and tend to believe all the hype they read in the fantasy football reports and power rankings. Before the internet, we read the newspapers and anxiously awaited the coming weeks game with 1/100th the media coverage there is now. We also live in an instant gratification age and society where spoiled brats need to have the best, be the best, etc..from a very early age. I have news for you, that's not reality.
I hear you , I've damaged enough of things in the past including my hands during and after Jet losses. I still get mightily pissed off , but I think the "rampage" days are over for me. :shit:

Im not questioning ANYONES loyalty except those calling in and saying to the media that they need to apologize to their children for raising them a jets fan and turning back in their jersey. You can be upset all you want but if your taking it to THAT level then take your allegiance to another team.
I think most of these posts where we GG members attack each other are such bullshit. Everyone handles a loss differently and says things that are in the heat of disappointment and not really meant to be taken at face value. I can't help but laugh at the 21 yr old "die harders" who give hell to people being fed up with the disappointment.Grow some hair on your balls first and then you can start giving shit to people. We do this to ourselves every year. We set ourselves up with a couple of wins and then we think "this is our year". Then we lose a couple to teams we are supposed to beat and it's the end of the world. I'm not to be excused from this myself. Last night i was cursing this team to high hell. I was texting my buddies that i was "done". Did i mean this? No. But you know what, i have had season tickets for 30 years and to me that gives me the right to beat this team up when i want to. Last night they deserved us to say "fuck you". Rex got cocky and didn't use his timeouts because he though "no way they're scoring". Thats a rookie coach making a mistake just as much as what Sanchez did against the Saints was a rookie QB making mistakes. I also don't wanna hear how the offense was "spectacular". If it wasn't for the fact that we needed 2 fake punts to keep drives alive we woulda gotten killed in this game. All this is to be expected. We are a young team trying to build chemistry with a rookie HC a rookie QB and a bunch of new players. We're heading in the right direction. This is a bump in the road. Even so THEY SUCKED LAST NIGHT and there's nothing wrong with calling them out on it. This game should be on hand at all times so when this team starts feeling like they've arrived Rex can pop it in the DVD and pop some popcorn.
A Fucking Men. These "superior fans" that go around calling fans pussies and other names for the way they respond to a loss are very condescending. Yes, some comments/threads people make after a loss are absolutely horrendous, but they are just venting their frustration after a loss because they are loyal and dedicated to following the Jets. Everybody reacts a different way, and some people blame it on the coaches and players. And there is another group that, instead of venting their frustrations on the coaches and players, they take out their anger on fellow fans. I'm not saying one way is better than the other, because neither way is really right or wrong. The bottom line is, everybody is just looking for someone to blame or take their anger out on after a loss.

Guys we are 3-2 and a head of the AFC east after the first 5 games who 2 months ago thought that would happen. We lost 2 in a row ON THE ROAD against anasty NO saints team and the miami dolphins who run a strange offense and beat us in the last 10 seconds of the game. Our D didnt play well one game out of 5 and now all of a sudden everyone is bitching and saying they are terrible. They got tired early and never recovered and also looked confused because of the wild cat. Now we have the Bills at home so why dont we just concentrate on that instead of a close tough loss to the dolphins. Also for all you who say Rex should stop talking should shut their mouths. THe team isnt going to change its personality because of a loss the gay fish.
