It's quite entertaining when everyone takes every thread and every post at face value.

BTW, NYJ JD, yer easily becoming one of the most annoying posters on here in no time.

I'm with the OP. I don't care what anybody says - after 30+ years of getting my hopes up I'm worn out. If Rex Ryan's badass shit-talkin D can make Chad Henne look like an all-pro and lose to the 1-3 Dolphins, my hopes are permanently on hold until I have a real reason to believe. Tonight was a MAJOR letdown.

  8. Well that's the beauty. If a miracle happens and they actually break the SOJ curse....instead of just being generally pleased...It'll be complete jubilation.

I agree, this Dolphin team is good. Not great, but good. The Wildcat is not a gimmick for them. It is for us, and some of the other teams in the NFL, but not the Dolphins. They have 3 guys on the staff that have used this type of offense for years. People only see it as a gimmick because it doesn't work for us as it does them. The Phins ran nearly an entire series with this look, and ran the ball 23 straight times. Our defensive reaction? FOLD. The SOJ feeling is inside me. I've only been a fan for about 20 years, so my feelings may not run as deep as some. I do however know that these feelings probably exsisit in most of us, whether you admit it or not. You can only have your hopes crushed so many times before you need the crutch that is the SOJ mentallity. I try to hold this feeling back as long as i can, and it has yet to take over this year. Let's keep our hopes for yet another week in what should be, as this one was, a gimmie.

This is where I stand, too. Yes, there were some things we could have done better, but we were not as bad as some guys are saying. I thought we played hard for 60 minutes. Yes, we were not as good on D last night as other games, but I think just as much as last week was a lerning experience for Mark Sanchez, this week was a learning experience for our D.

We are going to be better for it.

Hey, you are blind if you can't see that this is a typical SOJ loss. I predicted the team would go 5-11 and I'm just pissed at myself for starting to believe the hype - after 40 years I should know better. The 3 "big wins" weren't that big in hindsight - Houston isn't that good, the Pats are obviously not what they were, and Tennesee is awful. Say what you want, this is a lousy Miami team with an inexperienced QB and a one dimensional offense, and they kicked the Jets' ass - as I said, typical SOJ loss. Lets see what happens next week, but I have definetly been brought back to reality. I won't get fooled again.

You were giving up when we were down 4 with more than a half to play.

This is not a lousy Miami Team, the NE team we beat is not a lousy team and we are likely to be in a dog fight with both of them for the division all year. All we need to do is beat Buffalo and hold serve in our building to get right back on track.

We either get better as the season develops or we don't.

Please go away and return any fair-weather fandom to whoever you got this disease from.

Wow, that's all I have to say. 5-11??? Do the Raider fans know you pretend to be a Jet fan online?

I'm sick of the SOJ fans, please go away. 1 good thing about the new stadium is the likes of you will hopefully be weeded out.

There was a difference of two games between their schedule and ours last year, as there is every year. TWO GAMES. We drew Tennessee and the Bengals. They drew the Texans and the Ravens. We won both of our games. They lost both of theirs. That means they won 4 more games than we did against common opponents. In fact, I'd argue they had a tougher schedule than we did last season. The Ravens and Titans are about a wash, and Houston last season was certainly a tougher opponent than the Bengals sans Carson Palmer.

So, if you expect a huge drop off from last year's schedule to this one for the Dolphins, what are you saying about the Jets?

if you turtle at the smallest sign of adversity, a bad game, a tough loss, and want to blame this on SOJ and show you never want to win a SB and enjoy seeing this franchise wallow in mediocrity - find a new team.

I don't want you rooting for the same team as I do, living in fear of this bullshit. The Defense had a bad game against a divisional fucking opponent. If the did this against the Raiders - then say SOJ.

    The fanbase has no balls.

One tough loss and let's throw the season away and cry on each other. Go be Lions fans if you can't deal with a tough loss after some success. You'll be so used to losing you'll feel nothing.

And the rest of us will remind you daily of what a schmuck you were for all of the darksider crap. Expect the worst from your team so that maybe they'll surprise you one day? That's garbage. You're all cowards. "Oh, it hurts so badly to get my heart broken. I just can't commit."

  18. No....other teams haven't broke their fans hearts to the degree that this franchise has.

    That's fucking bullshit

You must not know of the Philadelphia Eagles.

Try going to Conference Championships over and over and coming just short of your dream.

This team doesn't even do that and you think your hearts been broken the most?

Is that some kind of joke? Do you really think you're that special to be a Jets fan? Fans of the VAST majority of teams from all sports go through the same heartbreaks.

How about you just look at the Jets division? The Pats were a joke before this decade. The Bills lost 4 Superbowls in a row... IN A ROW! The Dolphins haven't done anything in 35 years other than watch one of the best QB's in the history of the game fail to make it back to a SB after his rookie season.

    A Y F K M ???
