Im going to miss the first half hour so I am trying to record it. My cablevision channel guide says its on My9 HD and ESPN HD. Anyone know if they will actually show it on one but not the other? It would suck to guess wrong.
it is definitely on espn, but since you live in the ny area they are also broadcasting it locally. i would just go with espn, but either should work.
ESPN for all(Nationally included) but they usually have My9/CW covering it since before not everyone had cable. They'll have that Thursday night game at Toronto on My9/CW for NYers most likely....like they did last year with NYJ@NE.
You're obviously trolling now. Make some actual football posts or you're going to get the electronic version of a curb stomp.
It should be simulcast on both ESPN & 9, as someone said, because it's a local game. Go with the ESPN recording though. Generally the 9 broadcast is okay, but there is almost always a noticable difference between the two (especially the sound volume.) I try to support the local channel for a little while when the games are on two channels, but I almost always wind up switching to the cable network.
Yup, ESPN / MY9-HD They also have a pregame on MY9 incase you can't take the ESPN band of clowns but the game itself is a Simulcast which means: VIDEO on my HD, Bob Wischusen on my SPEAKERS! I can't take ESPN's calls of the game. Mike Tirrico has the fakest TV call EVER! John Gruden sounds like he's huffin all day leading up to the game Jaws is actually kewl because when he talks real football he's good unfortunately because of the other 2 he has to play along. Here's their pregame: MNF on ESPN
I think the MNF is one of the best in the business now that Gruden replaced Kornheiser. Gruden's great, knows the game so well and so does Jaws. And Tirico is simply a pro.
Jaws sucks with his fake broadcaster voice. I know he "knows" what he's talking about (like saying Clemens was the best QB in the 2006 draft), just can't stand his inflection.
i go to school in upstate NY, so the Bills game went on over the Jets game last week. Luckily, I found a site (justin.tv) which shows live TV for free and I hooked up my laptop to my tv and found the broadcast. Off topic, but if you run into this problem, there is an answer!
I think the OP knew that. The NFL has a rule that it has to be shown on broadcast TV in the local markets, so he was asking which local channel would have it. I remember in the past 9 had it, and as mentioned, it has it again tonight.
I suspect you've got Comcast with DVR. I just got mine and love it. One thing I discovered is that you can actually DVR two channels at the same time. You could DVR both, then decide at 8:30 which one looks better. And the good thing about doing that and starting late is, you'll eventually "catch up" to the live broadcast. It shows you a timeline at the top of your screen as you're fast forwarding (during the half, for example), so when you eventually catch up to real time it automatically stops DVRing and shows you the real time game. Comcast DVR is the thing baby. I love it.
I'm pretty sure here in NY it's blacked out on ESPN and you have to watch on channel 9. I know I've seen this in the past (with baseball maybe), something to do with local advertising spots, I think. You might want to DVR it on 9 just to be sure.
