I think WhiteShoeWillie has it about right at 3-4 sacks and 3-4 picks from the constant pressure. ....But I also bet Henne gets hit a ton.
If I was a shitfins fan, I would too. That about the only way they can make a game out of it, but still lose.
I am of the mindset that few sacks will be registered. He will definitely be hurried all night when they have him pass though, which I expect to be very infrequent. The Phins are going to do all they can to keep the ball on the ground all night. Won't matter.
They won't be keeping the ball on the ground because they are going to be playing from behind. The Jets will sell out on the run, and the weak spot in our run defense disappears with the return of Calvin Pace - and our defensive backs are in a different class from their passing attack, and will be able to man up and make the running game insufficient and capitalizing on Henne's suckness one on one. Chad Henne looks like a deer in headlights tonight. Get ready for a medieval ass-whipping in Landshart tonight, courtesy of Tony Sparano's new daddy - Rex Ryan.
Depends on who scores the first TD. If the Fish do, the Jets might not get an opportunity to get to him. If the Jets get up 10+ Henne might not live through the game
I think that offensive coaches go into games against the Jets defense knowing that they have to unload the ball quickly. That is why the Jets have not racked up sacks, but yet haven't given up points. How many times have we seen teams dump off a short pass cause they know the heat is coming. So, I would expect that the Dolphins are no different and are coaching Henne this week to just get rid of it before something bad happens. But it is only his second start, and I think he is gonna get caught up in the heat of the moment as the game goes on and will be waiting for something to open up cause he wants to make a play...so I'm going with 5...most of them in the second half...
Man I would love the Jets rack up the sacks. I just do not see it. I think the Jets will get 3 sacks. What is more important however is they are going to harass him to no end. He is going to get hit 7-10 times and get happy feet. I would guess a pick or two.
It should be interesting to see how the Jets use Calvin Pace tonight. I've watched Gholston closely through the first four games, and they don't move him around they just have him go after the QB. Which he pretty much never even got close to, the guy just has no moves. But VG almost always had his hand in the ground and rushed. I'm thinking that Calvin Pace is gonna be moving around all over the place, and get in on those overload blitzes that David Harris and Bart Scott have been doing so much.
I'm gonna go with 3 sacks and on a side note 2 INTs. Were gonna turn them into a dolphin salad(Rex is on a diet)
