Honestly I don't really read any BS threads that aren't about a news story or something similar. If it's a personal thread I usually don't read it.

I've been really busy lately so I probably watched 3 innings combined of the entire series. Going in I thought the Angels might give them more trouble than any of the past years, but I totally underestimated them. That team really is much, much better than the past years and I'll be rooting for them for the rest of the playoffs. After all the shit they've been through they really deserve it.

The Sox just looked awful this time around. Hopefully they trade for Halladay or A-Gonz over the offseason, but otherwise they still have a pretty good roster lined up for next year. Unless they decide to upgrade on defense with Holliday instead of Bay I don't see any major changes to the lineup. You aren't going to win the world series every year, this one had its moments.

Dude, what are you talking about?! They have Smoltz! Penny! Buchholz! Tazawa! Bowden! It's the deepest pitching staff in the entire history of the sport!

And other teams will be lucky if this bullpen gives up a run all season!

What do you mean February-March? John Kruk's playoff preview like 2 weeks ago claimed that the Red Sox were the only team in the postseason without any major flaws.

ESPN will forever remember today as Black Sunday--the day their beloved Sox fell.

Yanks/Angels is far more interesting than the Red Sox. Yanks/Sox was only interesting when the Sox were underdogs and losers. now that they are comparatively competitive, the rivalry is irrelevant to the rest of the country and there is no side for anyone not a fan of the teams to take.

the Sox are the poor man's Yankees at this point.

Boy it's gonna be great watching the Yankee fans cry in their beer when the Angels beat them yet again. In fact when that happens I'm putting this in my sig (of course I'll likely get banned but it might be worth it. ) The only thing worse than Red Sux fans are Skankee fans.

That's cool Rich. Remind me of that next time we're having a conversation about baseball and the AAA Los Mets.

    Oh, and go Phils!
