He deserved it. 5,000 dollars is nothing for him right now.

agree that it is warranted. hopefully the coaching staff will fine him every time they see him running around with only one hand on the ball.

on a serious note, classy move calling vilma to tell him he was stupid. good on ya rook

So I guess he'll have to use normal kindling to start his fireplace this week instead of the usual stacks of hundreds. Seriously, though, I really wish he'd stop doing that. He's not helping the team and he's going to get himself hurt eventually.

I respect that the guy owned up to it, called vilma, and said he was sorry. Show that the kid has some respect for other players and the game. He will learn not to do that. i think he was just reacting to a bad pass and thought maybe he was doing something good by taking out a blocker for another guy that might make a tackle.

Good he deserved to get fined... I wish the team would fine him if he does it again. Honestly I think he may have had a talking to by somebody on the team telling him you don't do this in the NFL.

I love Sanchez more and more man I swear. Calling up Vilma and apologizing and doing little things like that are what makes a leader and not to mention it gives him a lot of respect from around the league. Good shit Sanchez.

    Good

I'm surprised it was only $5,000. Very Dangerous play. Should have been $20,000

I totally expected Sanchez to make this move. It wasn't a malicious hit, just a really stupid play in the heat of the moment. I think it was almost a desperate, hopeless attempt to somehow stop Sharper from scoring.

Classy move to call Vilma, even classier for Vilma to accept the apology.

I'm sure that was addressed by the team leaders . In fact they showed Jenks in his ear on Sunday , not saying it was done themn. But I'm pretty confident it was addressed.

He said it was a heat of the moment thing and didnt want it to look like he quit on the play.

Thankfully JV is fine. That could have gotten ugly if JV had gotten hurt.
