A punter the Jets should be looking at if we decide not to go with Hodges next season

Erm..the post was bumped from last year.

 

We should draft the best punter in college in round 6 or 7, imo.

 

you dont ever draft punters in the 6th round

 

If there is a special punter then you do draft him in the 6th round-7th round. Considering most 6th rounders get cut we could spent it on a guy who could be our punter for the next 10 years.

 

That's basically my thinking.

I'm no Mr. E, but I heard theres some kid from Iowa who is the best.

So, You guys have one of the best return games in the league with Wash and Leonhard and Morstead completely shut that down yesterday and that is not worth a 6th round pick? We drafted him in the 5th and we had no idea he could kickoff like he does. I thought it was crazy on draft day, but not now. Starting field position is huge for the Jets and you got nothing yesterday.

Leon was so frustrated trying to make something happen that he tried to run one out of the end zone 8 yards deep.

I was worried a couple of times that we were going to get called for interference on Punts because our guy was standing so close to Leonhard while he was waiting to fair catch it.
