...how many STILL contend that Gholston is doing better? This kid is TER-RI-BLE....Several of those big runs where RIGHT in his direction Yes Sanchez looked VERY MUCH like a rookie today but on several occasions where the defense could have gotten the Saints off the field, they give up HUGE runs right in Gholston's direction I didn't even see last week where Gholston was on the stat sheet and this week he had 1 tackle. We gave up 343 total yards 153 on the ground. Our run defense needs to step it up, our running O needs to step it up and THANK GOD Pace will be back next week.
he looked more lost than usual today. i'll concede that. i was of the "he's omproving camp", but today was a step backwards, imo.
This was definitely Gholston's worst game of the season. The Saints had two back to back runs where Gholston barely even needed to be blocked, because he ran himself right out of the play and let a huge hole open up.
LOL ya'll kill me..is there not anything else from this game we can analyze and put under a microscope than the Ghost's performance??
The play that pissed me off the most was on the screen to Pierre where Gholston read the play and knew it was a screen, was about to go back into coverage but then said fuck it and continued to rush right into a blocker, i was like WTF?!?!
No one is blaming him for the defense. The defense was AMAZING today in spite of him. But he is one of the worst busts I've seen in a while. He makes Dwayne Robertson look like a pro bowler. And people knew he was just a weight room wonder out of OSU, but our mangenius couldn't help himself b/c he "might" have been a hybrid-DE. The kid is beyond bad and needs to GTF off the field.
Obviously you don't read well. I SAID that YES Sanchez looked VERY MUCH LIKE A ROOKIE. I also acknowledged our run O has to step it up. But several of the plays where we could have gotten the Saint off the field, the Saints ran RIGHT at him Our D also gave up 153 rushing yard, Hmm I wonder why? Because we have a fuggin liability in Gholston in there.
How about our other top 10 rookie? Sanchez turned the ball over 4 times today, so STFU and get off Gholston's back! Our D did their job...
I did notice on one run play in the 3rd... when he dropped back into coverage over a wide receiver and the receiver ran by him the OL came around to block him and he was back pedaling and still didnt come up and just make contact with lineman to get him out the picture...
Who's blaming Gholston for everything? He wasn't the only reason that the Jets lost, but he played very poorly today. The Jets defense will be an even stronger unit when he's on the bench and Calvin Pace is rushing the passer (damn I'm excited for next week, even after today's loss.)
Gholston did not play well today, there's nothing to debate. I've been saying since we drafted him to be patient, and I still am patient but he looked all sorts of lost today
i'm confused. i thought we lost bc of the refs, shotty and/or sanchez. now gholston too?!!? someone tell me whom i should place blame!!!!
Oh my bad i forgot that Gholston was the reason the Saints had 153 rush yards. He definitely should have had about 20 tackles. I understand he's not the player Pace is, and he struggles with certain parts of the game. But he hasn't been awful. I'm not saying Gholston played well today, I'm just saying that there is 10 other guys on the field during all those run plays and one guy doesn't make a defense
