I say we just go with a punt block formation on every down. It worked every time in the older football video games.
Leonhard and Izzo are back in today, so far Sheppard and Strickland are still out. No mention yet of anybody else.
I like Izzo on the team. If there's a loose ball on any ST play, 53 is gonna come flying in from somewhere.
I have a feeling that if Strickland is out of practice again tomorrow, we're bringing in Corey Ivy for dime sets. Rex already said in his Monday presser that Ivy is a guy that could come in and play immediately. He's familiar with the defense.
I just read a short article that they believe Sheppard and Strickland are likely out for the Saints game. I believe Dwight Lowery can step up. They worked out Cory Ivy and Justin Miller and like both of those options. Cory has played in the system so maybe we'll pick him up before the weeks end.
the jets are carrying 11 dbacks on the active roster--so a cuppla nicks shouldnt stop their defense--notice that the raiders just resigned justin miller
You know what I mean. As a DB, dude. He made it as a kick returner, and we have Leon who was 2nd in the league to Sproles going into the last game.
I would have felt alot more comfortable with Sheppard playing Sunday. I think Lowery can step up, just not to thrilled about that Coleman-Moore matchup.. ugh
Listening to the press conference it sounds like Rex is much more optimistic about Sheppard playing than Strickland.
Lance Moore is most likely going to be limited on Sunday so that helps. Still, I'd bring in Ivy immediately. It's a shame because Strickland played pretty good when he was healthy.
Ryan will speak about Sheppard and Strickland later but it doesn't look good. Everybody else was back in. Not like we had Sheppard and Strickland last week anuway. Just need to get more pressure on Brees. http://www.nj.com/jets/index.ssf/2009/10/ny_jets_cornerbacks_lito_shepp.html
