I totally agree on the Phillips INT off Witten's foot. However, the juggling catch by Manningham was only lucky because it had to be. The pass was perfect and right to him; he only juggled it because he didn't secure the initial catch. The Cowboys ran the ball and the Giants couldn't run it well, usually this would end in a Cowboys' win. This game was a track meet, however, and it came down to QB play. Manning outplayed Romo by leaps and bounds and the Giants won.

Francessa is more geared to the Giants as Benigno and Roberts are more geared to the Jets, what you're suggesting isn't a bad idea at all.

I'm the same way. When Parcells came to town to coach the Jets, Mike and Dog were all over him, kissing his ass with every interview. Even Dog, who took heat from the hypocrite Francessa for not being a Jets fan (when he wasn't one himself even) complimented Parcells most of the time and provided positive comments on the Jets. But it was always with the negative, disliking undertone, at least on Dog's part. With Mike the chameleon, he always professed to like both the Giants and the Jets, but after Parcells left, he started joining in with Dog in the Jets bashing, so his true colors came out then.

Today, it should be no surprise how Mike is. I used to listen to him quite regularly but he talks so much baseball it's pathetic, and when he does discuss the Jets, he'll always find a way to stick in some kind of unkind or belittling remark. A good example would be him praising the Vikings win yet blowing off the Jets win. Unreal.

You're 100% right on Cotchery. I don't even think Fatty know he exists. It's pretty much the same with the ENTIRE Jet personnel. Unless some Jet fan calls up and tries to praise someone he doesn't mention them.

Hopefully someone calls up about Cotchery so we can hear Tank get defensive and say how he's not that good. With Tank you have to be an explosive receiver to get any mention.

I thought it was kinda comical that he said "after this week's Jets win, I would be more worried moving forward than I would be encouraged..."

    Haha, what a moron.

now the moron is making excuses for the Bills not keeping it close. Tank picked the Bills to win and he can't stand being wrong.

I agree. He was praising the Jets last week. Talking about how amazed he was at the cohesiveness of the D. A new scheme with no players making mistakes, no one out of position.

This is much ado about nothing really. I think even he realizes the #2 corner Sheppard was out, the nickelback Strickland was out, and we have yet to see the #1 pass rusher take the field in Calvin Pace.

He actually said that? Yeah Mike, I agree. If the Jets had lost 38-9 it would have been more encouraging moving forward than the win yesterday. WTF? This guy is hilarious the way he likes to torture Jets fans.

I would never look for him to kiss the Jets ass..he would never do it until he has no choice..thats the point.

If the Jets, like the Mets during their great years (I'm a Yankee fan..and I know he hates the Mets) were to leave him no other choice but to come on board...he will.

Now have the Jets reached that point? Of course not.

Still...that is no reason for him not to analyze the game correctly. Every great team does not dominate every team they play. To say the Jets were lucky to get that win and show "holes" is demanding perfection..something he never asks of any other team.

Mike goes on to say that if it were not for the fumbled punt...the Jets lose. Thats bullshit.

He never mentioned that Collins was at one time in the 3rd quarter 15-25 and ended up 15-37. Did anyone just read what I wrote there? I may be off by a pass...but he threw around 12 or 13 straight incompletions...TO END THE GAME. Mike doesnt mention that.

I'm not pissed at all..its what I, as a Yankee fan, get blessed with..and as a Jet fan have become used to. Hes a homer that likes only 1 pro team.

Speaking of that..anyone that doesnt like a football team is warped to start with. I could give two craps about his profession...thats absurd...and safe.

All that matters is wins and losses. Rookie QB, rookie head coach. There will be bumps in the road. We all knew it. 3-0, I will take that any day for a start. Keep it going Jets, still getting no respect.

You are correct, Collins went 0-11 with one INT to finish the game.

Yeah, he praises the Jets after the Giants get a huge win over a division rival in their new stadium because he knows it will get Giants' fans riled up. And what will they do when they are riled up? They call in and talk about how much they liked the win. He knows what he's doing. His knowledge of football is questionable, but he certainly understands the fan bases and how to work them.

There was an old thread on an old M&MD board about the wrong predictions of both. It was about 20 pages long I believe. Best part is when called out on it, he denies ever saying the stuff in the first place.

I thought he was being objective. What he said, Sanchez needs to protect the ball better etc is right anyway. I think he knows we are a far better team than anyone could have predicted. Fransesca beating on us is not going to have any impact on us reaching the play-offs.

It's definitely for ratings, which is not the least bit new (and actually necessary), but he's also done it historically because there's another truth behind it. He does hate the Jets - and that's OK, who cares? - but at least Beningo gives the Giants the credit they deserve when they've earned it. That's one of the major differences right there.

A hypothetical example of how Francesa has always operated: "Oh, Wesley Walker, average, but not much better than that. After all, he was only blind in one eye, not both. Catching the ball over his opposite shoulder to compensate, eh, not very impressive if you really think about it." If Walker had played for the Giants, he would have made him out to not only be Helen Keller, but also a cripple. Why isn't this guy in the HOF, best WR to ever play the game with a built in physical disadvantage like that, underrated, it's a disgrace, etc. He's highly dishonest about it, which is the other major difference. Screw him, anyway.
