I've been watching that one over and over and I'm wondering if Sanchez hurt his hand on that play. He coughed up the ball twice with "slips" after that where the ball just came out of his hand when he went to throw it. There's no indication from him as he gets up that anything is wrong, so it's not clear what happened, but the defensive player definitely hit him in the hand as he had the ball outstretched over the goal-line. I was sitting next to a Titan's fan at the bar and he mentioned about midway through the 3rd quarter that Sanchez looked ill-at-ease in the pocket and hadn't been the same since the TD run in the first.
I doubt it. He was able to finish the game out just fine. He definitely looked rattled in the 2nd and 3rd quarters but I'd chalk that up to the outstanding job Tennessee's defense was doing against the offense. They literally gave the offense no room to breathe until their ST unit deflated them.
I'm gonna chalk it up to a wet ball, rookie mistakes, and defensive pressure. I like it better that way. xxedge72x: Jinx! We both used the word chalk.
The ball was wet and slippery all day is probably why he kept losing it (plus the fact he has some pretty poor ball protection habits currently). I kept wondering if he needed a glove to help with his grip due to the rain...
Yeah me too. Cimini's blog says Sanchez got worked on for 30 minutes in the trainer's room after the game. That's the only reason I posted this.
hell be fine this is football after all, not baseball were they get pussy injuries and get out ayear ala jose reyes
I'll admit that I can see Ryan giving him the pep talk about how a throwing hand is just a crutch for a good QB. "You can fucking complete passes with your elbow if ya need too and ya know this team has your back!"
I like it – he was getting a little confident and cocky in that pocket; better to see him fuck up a little when we can recover and bring him back down to earth. The kid is just solid – I can take the occasional rookie screw ups.
after one of those slips cbs showed him talking to shotty, and it looked as if he said to shotty "it just keeps coming out" now i'm not a lip reader or anything, but that's what i thought i saw. don't know if it contributes for or against hte op though.
Yeah the maniac didn't use the best form on his rushing TD. In fact the way he went in was a great way to break your neck. I wouldn't be surprised in the least if that was why he was getting worked on.
