I'm assuming Lowery will be covering Kenny Britt on Sunday.......leaving Revis Christ to cover Gage. Lowery should do fine.....slapping around a rookie
I think Dwight Lowery is the most underrated player on the Jets. I hope he proves himself this Sunday against the Titans and delivers a shutdown performance. Then again, with Coleman on the field, Lowery might shut down his WR simply for the fact that the Titans will throw at Coleman every single play.
I thought Nate Washington would be D.Coleman's assignment...since they both run in straight lines down the field. Britt is talented....but he's still a rookie.
If there is one game where you want your number 2 CB and nickle corner out, if it against the Titans. Lets hope they have a speedy recovery, because we need plenty of secondary help against the Saints
Hopefully Lowery gets er done on Sunday. We'll find out if he's more than a nickelback. We're fucked @ NO without Lito or Strick, so keeping them out of this week's game is a smart move IMO.
At this point, I think it's just about finding bodies to put out there. Thankfully, the Jets are facing a struggling Titans' passing game this week, so it might not all be that big a deal.
I'm not exactly worried about pass coverage against the Titans, but I'm a bit uneasy about Lowery being a step slow when it comes to run support. Johnson can be deadly on the edges and in open space. Not a major deal, but a mild concern.
Really? If there was one thing I thought Lowery did very well last year, it was helping out in run support.
Rex said in today's presser that Strickland was out but he expected Shepperd to be a game time decision. Must be worse than we thought, or they are being extra cautious
Yes, but not against speedier backs. He's great when you can bring him up close to the line in the nickel because he's a solid tackler.
The way I see it, Rex wants Lito for the game with Brees. Strickland could be out awhile, I am sure Lito will play vs. New Orleans.
