If the 49ers want him then give him the money, if they don't want to give him the money they should trade him.

They are blaming everyone but themselves.

I am wagering he goes back into the draft.

so, you are saying if a team wants a player they should pay that player whatever amount of money he wants instead of negotiating? man, I'd love to sell you a car, because if you want it I know I could get every dime out of you because apparently there is no middle ground for you.

As illogical as it would be, the funniest possible outcome here would be for the 49ers to draft Crabtree again next year just to fuck with him.

Uh No. This is no where near as bad as spygate.

I'm surprised 'Mo Carlett was the steal of the draft!' hasn't been dragged out yet.

that would be great because he's almost have to sign, and for whatever they offered. if he sat out two years, nobody would want him.

Assuming there is no smoking gun, and nothing happens... this could be good for the NFL. It's just another great reason to have a true slotting system for rookies being a big part of the new CBA.

It would totally eliminate this scenario from happening again.

That's a good point. This could definitely help get the league to the slotting system, which is crucial considering how fat the rookie contracts are becoming.

I disagree on this assessment. Crabtree will be behind every "A" prospect WR if he re-enters the draft next year. That'll be based on a year of inactivity while the WR's who played got to show their stuff. He'll be behind most of the other "A" prospects also and there are more than a few of those in next year's draft.

Crabtree is throwing his fate to the wind at this point and hoping the gusts take him to a safe landing. Not a good assumption on his part.

    Remember Maurice Clarett?

First of all there is zero evidence of any tampering by the jets or anybody else. All there is is an allegation and some investigation. Meanwhile crabtree and his crew of idiots has nothing and the 9ers are 2-0. Anyone that turns down guaranteed 20 Mil and the chance to play for the 9ers must be a complete moron. Maybe he proves me wrong and gets 40 Mil next yr but I doubt it. Methinks this thing gets resolved and Crabtree signs with the 9ers.

Bingo... a team that probably tampered to get him in Dallas. Crabtree also attended school in Texas , was born in Dallas and is also represented by some Texas politician Royce West who also is from... you guessed it Dallas. Of course being you live in Dallas probably already knew all of this. The reason you won't hear about Dallas is the NFL needs Jerry Jones on their side when they go to the table as he certainly is not in favor of a salary cap and he has some serious bargaining power.

As far as worse then Spygate? Hmm it's not out of the realm of possibilty that the Patriots cheated their way to 3 Super Bowls... I don't see how it could possibly be worse than what could be have been the biggest scandal in sports history had the NFL not burned all the tapes 2 days after it went down.

Did this all start b/c Deion talks too much? What a f*cking surprise. Do we even have $40M to pay another rookie, as Deion apparently said?

I hope you are right but how do you know there is 0 evidence? The NFL hates tampering charges and doesn't take them lightly. I would be surprised if SF would dare file charges against anybody with 0 evidence.

When did Deion say the Jets have another 40 million to pay him?

The jist of all these articles seems to be "the Jets did something bad and we can't tell you exactly what but you should be mad at them!"
I'd love that. I wouldn't even want him on the Jets at this point if he's the type to pull shit like this.

This is beyond negotiating. We are negotiating with Leon and meanwhile he is on the field playing (coontributing). Crabtree is not lowering his price and not playing either. Meanwhile the 49ers are lowering their price. No solution is now possible.

During negotiations the two sides should come closer not spread farther apart.

Since the 49ers are now seeing they will lose their #1 pick from this year they seem to be grabbing at straws (the Jets) to get some compensation to make up for their mistakes.

Point being they will get nothing from the Jets and Crabtree gets madder by the day. If they want to recoup anything, they need to either just sign him or trade him. Otherwise they get a BIG ZERO for all the effort.

Your point is idiotic since it seems to the whole NFL that there is no middle ground with Crabtree and he has not budged one inch from the moment he was drafted.

Not only would I get your car for less, but you would be throwing in a full tank of gas and paying my insurance when I was done.
