Hey, He weathered the storm early and showed his moxie, talent and perseverance leading the Jets to the win over the highly touted Patsies...he's earned this award AGAIN this week in my opinion!!!! http://www.nfl.com/partner?partnerType=rookies Go VOTE!!!!! The Mezz
We're already rocking the shit out of ur last thread dude. I voted again. 11 votes for him today from me. Awesome news indeed.
Love Sanchez... but this year rookie class (up to now) is soo poor... especially in skill positions like RB, WR etc where you normally get Rookie of the week honors. Did the Jets ever have a ROY winner in recent (from the 90ies) history?
I don't know how many quarterbacks could have made that roll and throw he made to Stuckey on the overruled TD. I've watched that play a few times and it's more than impressive. It's sick. Then he's immediately screaming for the extra point team, because he knows Stuckey didn't get his feet down. Quick smarts.
agreed with the weakness at the skill positions so far by the rookies... Sanchez really might be able to win 11 ROW awards this year!
Nobody else impressed me. Do you guys think Sanchez has this locked? If anything let's keep bumping this everyday.
97 was Dunn. 96 was George. Duh, my bad- lol Key was in 96 See- http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/award_aporoy.htm
I think so... unless of course he starts throwing 2 picks a game! Harvin may have a chance if Favre does some miracles... otherwise I don't see anyone else talented enough. Ps Maybe Curry but the Seahawks defense isn't that flamboyant.
There has been only 4 QB ROYs in the history of NFL, and 2 of 3 QB ROYs in recent years have been studs (Big Ben and Matt Ryan).
interesting... I would certainly like to know the breakdown to see which position is most likely to win ROY my guess is RB, but again thats just a guess. Defensively would be interesting to know as well...
