What you really need is the Air raid sirens followed by an airforce flyover, maybe an couple of F15 going verticle over the stadium.
The sirens were great and not detrimental to your health like the Patriots covering the field with black powder smoke. But who was the jackass with the whistle? That cost the Jets defense to give up yards, half the defense reacted like a dead ball was called.
I'm in a great mood right now so I'll change it, but won't guarantee she won't be back some other week. Here is a page with a few of my avatars I've made and used on this and other boards. Here is my avatar page.
Man, I knew that thing was fucking loud when I heard it through my TV. Love it. I can't wait to cheer this defense on in person.
I was watching the USC - Washington game yesterday (Sat.) and they had the sirens I looked to the wifey and said "You see, that's what the fukin JETS should have! We're the JETS and that would make sense WTF!!" There is no way in hell I expected us to have em. I guess someone else (USC HELLO!) may have been watching the game too...
Air raid sirens were great. Always played on third downs on defense. Finally something I like from the audio/visual staff!!
They had them in Houston so it either came from Rax or Woody. You ought to hear how loud they are inside a dome with the roof closed
under user CP, in edit options, you can turn off avatars, sigs, and images. edit: this is in response to WhiteShoeWillie. i'm such a smartass, i know how to turn off avatars, but i can't figure out how to quote and reply to a single post. when i hit quick reply, it goes back to the subforum list. weird.
The PC Richard whistle isn't played to fire up the crowd. it's done whent he game is on a commerical break and it's an in Stadium commerical(and they did play it).
Understood. I was just responding to the in commercial break part. I've heard it plenty between plays during the game on TV. It seemed noticeably absent yesterday. Maybe they limited it to TV timeouts.
Yeah, the PC Richards whistle would sometimes be played after first downs. The air siren, at first I didn't want to like it because I was watching USC-Washington Saturday, and Washington had the most annoying horns I'd ever heard after they scored. But the air siren sounds like shit is about to go crazy.
You could be right, I don't remember exactly when it is played but I know it's not to spur on the crowd.
