REMEBMER, the Jets were missing their most talented edge pass rusher (EASILY their most talented edge pass rusher). Imagine how good this defense is going to be When Pace has a chance to play and get in sink with the rest of the D. This was a very telling game. The Jets are building an elite defense and the Pats have an aging receiver Corp with a slightly above average offensive line. The competition for the division over the next few years will be fascinating.

Oh please, I don't want to hear about injuries...we lost TWO corners during the game and were down to our #4 and #5 guys so that should have canceled out Welker and nobody told them they had to trade Seymour or Hobbs, they rebuilt their defense and now they're suffering the inevitable growing pains.

They didnt have Pace but they also lost Sheppard for the whole second half and Strickland which meant guys like Drew Coleman were seeing a lot more playing time while they were out and Lowery was starting opposite Revis.

just sayin tho that welker was the key to this loss...he is a jet killer

congrats on the win but the real test will be when you guys have pace back and they have welker and mayo and home field. and brady will have had more time to adjust

Besides, that rookie that filled in for him did a pretty decent job

Fuck that whole man down bullshit.

    Every team has injuries.

The Patriots wouldn't make an excuse, saying "we lost because Welker was out."

The Patriots lost because Tom Brady is rusty and can't hit his receivers.

who cares! even if they had legit excuses I rather win and be lucky then lose and have injuries and excuses. Just look at the Mets!

This is just like Patsie fans claiming the Jets wouldn't have won @ NE last season had Brady been playing. Cassell had 400 yds and 3 TDs but if Brady was playing, the Pats would have won......

Give me a fuckin' break. Welker's replacement had 100 yds today. Suck it New England, you LOSE AGAIN.

Every team has injuries yeah, but welker is arguably the 3rd best player on the team. Its not like some non factor was out. This was the guy who was going to be the difference maker. I actually changed by bet on this game after I found out welker was inactive. With Welker in the lineup that possibly forces Revis to cover him, leaving Moss for a big game. You guys saw that Revis shut down Moss without Welker in the game.

Of course the Pats aren't going to use that as an excuse. Teams don't do that. However objective watchers get to make that point.

And you're right about Tom being rusty. That was a key to the loss, but also because the Jets played rock solid defense and made better halftime adjustments

#11 played just like Welker...so I doubt Welker would have made that much of a difference.

About Revis, he got lucky on a lot of non-calls. Also, there were a few plays when he got burned and Brady flat out missed Moss.

Revis has shutdown Moss in the past with Welker in the lineup

Besides Eldeman the replacement had 8 catches and a lot of yards..basically replaced Welker's speed and production

Welkers replacement is no welker. LOL. he had at least one key drop that i recall. welker most likely would have had more yardage as well

as for last years jets win, that came down to who got the ball 1st in OT if memory serves me right

No. Disagreed. Welker's replacement had a huge day today, thus replacing Welker's potential production. Pats lose. Yet again.

    missing my point

the jets can't shut down both. durr revis has shutdown moss. but what did welker do? tore it up

both moss and welker healthy makes for a huge mismatch for one or the other

and no matter how many times you claim edelman as the same as welker, it doesn't make it so

We could talk about 'what if' all fuckin' day. Jets didn't have their best passrusher, but we're in Brady's grill all day long.

Your memory serves you incorrectly. The Jets drove down the field and won the game, as per the rules of football. Has NE ever won a game in OT? I guess those must have been all luck too huh?

You just don't get it. Welkers replacement posted Justin Edelmans numbers. Who knows...if Welker got those catches he may have had 150 and a td

This was basically the 1st game for a converted QB. Its not even the same.

and for the record. not a pats fan

Agreed. But part of being a fan is delving into what ifs to speculate about what will happen when both teams are complete.

I know it pisses me off when my team wins against a team with one of its key players out

Lowery did a fantastic job out there. He deserves the props as alot of people have casted him off.
