When I first read this thread topic and then what Rhodes said, my initial thought was "what the f are you doing!" Thinking about it for a couple minutes and reading a couple posts you say to yourself "why not". Lets face it..the other way of doing things hasn't worked. We had a head coach here called Herm Edwards that did everything but kneel at the Patriots God (BB) alter and whisper quietly to his team that you only play to win the the game. Even with that...that psychopath God of theirs dreamed up a reason not to shake the quiet ones hand at the end of a game. The quiet one was stunned...and had no response. Why would this nut job refuse to shake my hand?...and poof...the quiet one disappeared to Kansas City to be quiet and a gentleman..so quiet that he ruined another franchise. Our reward now is we get to see the quiet one dissect games every week on television. For some its tough..for me...I squirm. The bottom line is that little Mussolini that coaches up in New England has been the master of head games. He has been the bully. The great thing about trash talking is that you can be sure nobody on the Jets is going to have a letdown after last week or just not show up. I'm sure that is part of the reason Ryan does it and why he probably doesn't mind if the players do it too. Everybody will be giving their proverbial 110% this week.
Bottom line - If the Jets win, it was a brilliant move to get everyone in green fired up, and if the Jets lose, the trash talk will be blamed for giving the Pats* the extra juice to win.

Maybe the commercial was a joke but the trash I heard come out of Brady's mouth on Weei during the perfect* season wasn't. I heard him with the two homers and he was quoted as saying the only guys he doesn't like are "the green a white guys in the division"... Honestly I don't care what you do on this board..
