Yeah right! That's a joke, correct? What do you know about being scared? Volunteer to jump out of airplanes with the 82nd Airborne Division and then serve a year in combat in Vietnam and then we'll talk about "being scared."

Until then you're nothing but a virgin to me. All this other talk is immature, adolescent smack, just like your above line.

Good post. Maybe there's a connection between winning three Super Bowls and never engaging in trash talk.

They were playing Rex Ryan's recorded message to season ticket holders on the Boston radio stations yesterday. How anyone can see what that guy has done and not believe he has an extremely unhealthy obsession with the Patriots and Bill Belichick is beyond me. I'm not necessarily knocking him for it, and I think it's pretty entertaining, but I hope for his sake that his team backs it up on the field. Because if they don't, he's going to look like an enormous jackass, along with his team.

I knew I sensed some fear in you. Let it out, my friend. Let it feed your anger. Don't hide because of it.

I say let 'em talk all they want, so long as they back it up on the field. It's fun, and isn't that supposed to be what this is all about for the fans?

No shit. Game 2 of the season and they're treating it like the Superbowl? What kinda short-sighted horseshit is that? There's 14 more fucking games to play.

Now I would not go that far either. The Bears talked all kind of shit during 1985 and they won the Super Bowl. But that defense was one of the greatest ever assembled. They consistently destroyed teams.

Not sure what you are inferring here, but I am assuming something from a high school level of humor.

Thats your opnion of course. Here's how I see it. We have been quiet, very quiet the last 7 years under Mangina and Edwards. How did that work out for us?

This year, we are loud and already have a defensive shut out victory against the Texans. Now that we are vocal, or extremely vocal, if we get a victory in the process, that will go a long way as far as getting respect from the media. We sound confident, and we top it off with a victory. I predicted a last minute NE victory, but a last second FG can also give the Jets a win. Jets have as much of a chance as NE and we'll see. I have a feeling you won't be saying this come Monday morning.

Hey, ease up on yourself. I wasn't going to call you a coward. I do think it's good, though, that you're letting that out. I'm here to tell you, you're not a coward. My dad served as a door gunner in Vietnam. He has a lot to say about fear. If you need someone to talk to, you let me know. I don't want to hear you calling yourself a coward anymore, though, ok?

I wasn't just singling out the comment made by Rhodes. I'm talking in general. The consensus that don't want to ruffle any feathers for fear that the Patriots will take what our players are saying to the media and blow us out. Everybody knows the game will take place on the field. However, I see it as nothing wrong trying to rally your own troops.

I mentioned this in my other post, but maybe I'm wrong. Maybe a lot of ppl are looking at this smack talk as a 1 or 2 game wonder. Talk smack as long as we're winning. But stop the minute we lose. I'm not. I think I'm seeing what Rex Ryan is trying to do with this franchise and this entire organization. If we're gonna have the best D, we're gonna show it on the field and we're going to let the rest of the league know it. Last week, we (technically) didn't give up any points on one of the best offensive teams in the league last season. There's something positive about our D already. Why not build it up? Why shouldn't we keep talking smack until someone beats us? Why should we fear the Patriots? Let our guys talk and play. Let us the fans cheer and believe.

You should spend more time talking with your dad instead of talking smack. Maybe some of his bravery will wear off on you.
