I mean, enough already. The Patriots have bitch slapped them for a decade now, in every way possible, and won a few championships along the way. Can the Jets stop talking, and just beat them on the field? Then maybe you can have something to say. The response to questions about this game should have been "it's just another game in week 2 of the season". Then go out and kick their asses. Then the talk can start. I appreciate Ryan trying to change the attitude here, but if (and probably when) they lose this week, it will be just the Same Ole Jets - a lot of talk, and no results. And then you become even a bigger laughingstock than you are. So lets shut up, and concentrate on trying to beat these pricks, ok?

You should probably take your own advice.

it reminds me of Nick Diaz getting in Diego Sanchez' face before a fight and Diego beats him down.

STFU. Ryan and the Jets can do whatever they want/need in order to get ready for this game.

Maybe the "just another week 2 game" thing isn't working, you think?

And I don't think the NYJ ever go into a game against a division rival and a powerhouse like the faggot ass pats without thinking it's not going to be huge game and major psyche prep will be key.

    So STFU.

I love the inner bravado, but I do wish they would calm down a little. I'm supremely confident we'll win, but if we don't, they'll look mighty stupid.

Did the Ravens talk like this in the past? I don't remember. I think we are talking too much, but hey, its better than being secretive and losing anyway. :)

Reminds me of Frank Mir talking shit about Brock and then Mir ends up as a human pinata via Brock's fists of death.

I like the "go big or go home" attitude......it's much more entertaining for the fans, than the old cloak & dagger bullshit we've had to put up with for the last few seasons.

Win or Lose....I'm looking forward to this.......and i hope Rex and Co. keep talkin' it up.

Look, just about everybody picked the Jets to finish last in the division so who really gives a fuck what they say? Are you afreaid they may finish worse than last? I, for one, hope they keep it up every game all year long and I hope they find new ways to do even more.

I like the whole confidence thing, but when you talk too much it stinks of contradiction.

So the Jets are talking. Can't really be any worse than the last 40 years.

Can stupid threads like this Cease to exist?

Answer to both questions : A resounding NO.

And as far as the "it's just another game" statement. Wahoo, that statement is played out and it's just another attempt at being PC in a sport where it's anything But when it comes to battling on the football field. And tell me, just how did this "approach" work for the Jets in the past? Not so good.

EXACTLY!! I've had enough of being POLITICALLY CORRECT. Let's get back to some good ol' fashioned old-school Trash-Talking.

Maybe the Jets should hire Rampage Jackson as their Trash-Talking Coach or something?

Contradiction or not, the Jets have not won anything the past 40 years. The old "It's just another game" statement hasn't done jackshit for them. Why not change it up for a bit?

    They've got nothing to lose....

Old school is about beating the crap out of your opponent for 60 minutes and than shaking their hands and walking off the field like a proffessional. There is nothing more intimidating in sports than getting whiped on the field and having your opponent shake your hand and tell you what a great game you just played.

I hear ya. Saying things like "i want to embarrass them" won't help though. That's not confidence that's just talkin' shit.
