I dislike Patriots fans as well, but in particular I dislike people from Boston, which makes it even worse. Boston fans in general are the worst fans in sports, whether it is for the Patriots, Celtics, Red Sox, or even Bruins. Show me a Celtics fan in a bar and I?ll show you one of the biggest douche bags on the planet. This is one of the most consistent things in life. People from Boston are some of the most annoying people on the planet. It?s not so much due to the fact that they?re loud an obnoxious, but they actually take pride in how stupid they collectively are. It?s a culture. The louder and more obnoxious you are, the more ?Boston? you are. And it?s not that they?re ignorant, they?re just stupid: ignorant ?adjective 1. lacking in knowledge or training; unlearned: an ignorant man. 2. uninformed; unaware. stupid ?adjective 1. lacking ordinary quickness and keenness of mind; dull. 2. annoying or irritating; What I?m saying is you?ll eventually meet a Boston/NE area person who knows the players on their team and can name what years they won the SuperBowl, but these people are fucking Neanderthals. Talking to them about sports is absolutely pointless because nothing will get past their primitive, unenlightened, dense brains.
I'm with you, Murrell. I hate those fuckers, and want Brady to take a beating. I still relish that awesome hit that Ellis put on him at the end of the Sunday night game a while back.
That is just an example of a fan taking things way over the top. I read another poster talking about Pats fans spitting on him as he left the razorblade stadium. Funny thing is, any game I have gone to, I have never seen any fans get attacked like that at the Meadowlands. I remember Dolphin fans getting booed as they walked up the aisle, and all that happened is the guys raised their hands and laughed, totally harmless. I took my brother to a game eons ago, he was a Vikings fan wearing a John Randle jersey and no one bothered him. Some fans are just scumbags, but I guess in Boston it is ok since they won a few titles. Smug people I guess.
Wow. I sense a disturbance in the force. I won't be satisfied till the Jets beat the Pats in the AFC Title Game, in Foxboro, 41-0, in a game that includes a career ending sack on Tom Brady. Then, there will be inner peace. **On a side note: I have two tales of rival stadiums. First was in Buffalo in '06. My friend went to the bathroom in the 4th quarter. A drunk Bills fan in the next urinal, looked my friend up and down, then proceeded to piss on him. Security removed the guy and my friend had to find new pants cause he is a germ a phob. Nasty. I went to Green Bay in '06 and watched the Jets pound the piss out of the Pack. I have to admit, I wore my Jets jerseys every day and was treated good. The Pack fans busted some balls, but it was always in good fun. Never uncomfortable.
It really is something to see what happens to some of the more intelligent and agreeable people on here when the topic of the Patriots franchise and their fan base comes up.
Video" Patriots fans shocked and dismayed at Super Bowl loss Wahha! "It's too painful to talk about." "It hurt." 18-1, through cheating, does hurt when you blow the big game, assholes:
Dude, I live in Mass, born and raised in Brunswick though... I have been saying this forever. These asshat pats fans can't name a single player before lewis took out bledsoe. they weren't even fans when bill took them to the big game. i hate all of them, i work with 20. they never stop gushing about their team. i have 100% respect for a pats fan that has been a fan since the days of old but that's not the majority.
I hate them too and pretty much agree with everything that's been said here. BTW that Dolphin fan had more than her jacket stolen. Those goons beat the crap out of her....Real tough guys. I've been to several Pats games and I have never, NEVER seen opposing fans treated well there. I do not throw Red Sox fans in the same category though. Red Sox fans are actually a lot like Jets fans. They are die-hard, long suffering (before 2004) and very knowledgeable about the game.
I have to add though that I was at a pats game in the late 90s, bill was coaching, and i was in the UD. Some pats fan brought a Riddell helmet with him, a real-deal game helmet. He was wearing it. A couple guys grabbed it and it made it's way all the way to the top where somebody decided to see if he could reach the parking lot with it.. Kinda funny actually--unless someone got hit with it. This was back when they weren't selling alcohol at night games too.
My uncle was an a trainer for the patriots in 2003 as an intern. He met all the players and he told me that Belichick is one of the most miserable people in the world and was never nice to anyone but tom brady. He also said that Charlie Weiss was the biggest douche of all time, and he actually said that Mangini was a nice quiet guy.haha. He said that they have just a douchebag mentality to them. Clearly everyone except their fans can see that
Murrell is right. My roommate in college jumped on the Patriots bandwagon and it's documented. When we pledge our fraternity the pledges have to interview the brothers. My roomate told them all he was an eagles fan and they wrote it in their notebooks. Then when the pats won the SB he flopped Brady jersey pats hat. The whole nine. There are a lot of pats fans like that.
Oh man, a fan utterly hates their rival team!! This is unheard of, I guess every true sports fan needs therapy(well they do I guess, I know I do) I don't know what your other teams are but if your a Sox fan, go talk to your comrades they need the therapy more then us.
Been living in Mass now since 2001, moved up here my junior year of high school. I lost a bet that year of who would make it farther in the playoffs that year. I lost and had to wear a Brady Jersey to school. I got berated walking throug the halls. Since that day my sports life has been nothing but a living hell. I know countless of people who I met those first few months of school that claimed to be titans, bears, and cowboys fans. Now guess what? They are pats fans and worst part is they are some of the worst pats fans I know. I will be fair and say that there are many fans that have always been fans and many knowledgable ones, but they are still without a doubt obnoxious pieces of gaabaage. I hate every single thing about them and how rightous they are all of a sudden. This just came over as a post in my fantasy league with a bunch of pats fans. "i'm waiting for belichick to call me this week and say that he wants me to be loud on defense and pretend i'm the 13th or 14th defender out there as i cheer on team gaysey bowdishes just like rex ryan did....gonna need all the help i can get ps. ken i hope you think thats wicked embarassing and a joke just like everyone else that has heard it" Sickning
Nothing is more upsetting to me than Bandwagon Patriots fans (Which makes up 75% of their fanbase). Well, bandwagon Red Sox fans are equally annoying.
