That's going to change in a hurry. I think 13/14 is where the Jets will be as the consensus when we look at all the lists this week.
yeah here is a week 2 one I found. Seems legit, I guess. http://njfrogman.blogspot.com/search?q=power+rankings jets moved way up!
Yeah, I think being underdogs at this point will help get em pumped up. The "No Respect" angle. Not to say were going to the Super Bowl, but like the Giants season 2 years ago. Nobody took the serious until it was too late.
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/powerRankings?GT1=39002 #14 GLASS HALF FULL: What a debut for Mark Sanchez and Rex Ryan. The Jets seem to really have something in young Sanchez — eat your heart out, Pete Carroll! His pocket savvy and downfield vision is better than half the starting QBs in the league already, and Rex Ryan's defense pitched a virtual shutout in the opener (only TD allowed was on INT return). GLASS HALF EMPTY: Sanchez will surely have some rookie moments, possibly as early as this weekend when Bill Belichick's Patriots get his first crack at playing mind games with the youngin'.
That's odd, that's exactly where the BCS style computer rankings had them too. Great minds and computers think alike I guess.
http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/powerRankings?type=predictions the "what if sports" predicted jets win 21-16 next week.
What if Sports also ranks the Jets #2 in the NFL behind only NE. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/powerRankings?type=whatIfSports
New rankings are out. 16 - http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/story/12211259 16 - http://espn.go.com/nfl/powerrankings?year=2009&week=2 14 - http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/powerRankings 15 - http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2009/09/16/week-one-power-rankings/ 14 - http://nbcsports.msnbc.com/id/32865652/ns/sports-nfl/
-John Clayton ??????? I agree Ryan is an exciting addition to the Jets, but he was already in the AFC???
In the next 3 weeks the Jets play teams ranked in the top 12 of the NFL power rankings. Going into the bye week, we will know what type of team we have.
I do as well, it does not matter in any way. Unless people are worried about what some writer thinks of their favorite team. Wins and losses, that is all that matters.
Exactamundo! Every freakin year we are polled in the lower teens upper 20's and we get 100 people on hear screaming about how we don't get any respect. It gets annoying. Like earlier this year there was a bozo who said we would go 0-5....How did that work out? Who cares what these people think! Like someone said earlier in this thread...come up with your own Power Rankings
