where can i get the football power rankings????????????????????????????? they used to be on espn.com/nfl cbssportsline.com/nfl even yahoo had a power ranking
My top ten right now: 1. Ravens 2. Patriots 3. Atlanta 4. Steelers 5. Chargers 6. Giants 7. Cowboys 8. Packers 9. Vikings 10. Jets And I lost my green glasses along about 1985. A week ago I probably have the Jets at 16 or 17 but that defense is real and Sanchez is too.
I don't care. I know the defense is there, even if it took them a poor game to shake out some of the post Rex Ryan kinks, and Flacco is the real thing: a Terry Bradshaw clone with the same offensive philosophy surrounding him. The difference between the Ravens and the Steelers this year is that the Ravens have a great offensive line.
Flacco creating time in the pocket on that red zone play was amazing to watch. And the Chiefs also suck too.
I was just going to say that. I have never seen anybody that calm in the face of a rush. He's going to be a good quarterback.
I don't really know about that. The Chiefs had the worst pass rush in the league last season... Ben Grubbs, Jared Gaither, and Matt Birk are very good players, but the Ravens are starting a rookie at right tackle. I think Michael Oher will be a great player, but he'll have some ups and downs this season.
I would probably place us at about 14, after yesterday. Then after we go into New England and lose 21-17 we will be 26.
Not to turn this into a fantasy conversation, but I grabbed him in the 15th round of a draft expecting him to round into form late in the season. I wasn't expecting him to look this good this quickly, even against the Chiefs.
when you're defense hold the 3rd best offense from last year to under 200 total yards at home, you get a top 10 ranking. The Pats are the real test for this team. Sunday was a soft opening.
Yeah the Chiefs suck at this point. The game was close because they forced a fumble, had an interception and blocked a punt. Their punter was also very strong and backed the Ravens up deep several times, which was why they got a franchise record 501 yards on offense. It wasn't a pretty game for the Ravens defense, although they held Larry Johnson to 20 yards rushing and forced Brodie Croyle to put the ball in the air more than the Chiefs probably planned to. I suspect the Ravens defense will be pissed off all week and I wouldn't want to be San Diego next week. That said, the Chargers are an excellent offensive team so I wouldn't be surprised to see them score a fair amount on the Ravens at home. The defense has carried the Ravens for a decade now. It's time for the offense to do some of that and all the signs say it's likely to pick up the slack.
Pats Steelers Saints Chargers Falcons Titans Packers Eagles (with Mcnabb) Ravens Vikings Giants Indy Jags Jets
Id imagine when they come out tomorrow, most sites will have us listed somewhere around 15th, which is well deserved. A much better team than most people expected, but still a team that has alot to prove to crack the top 10.
