Willingham left him a hell of an offense to work with, but that team seriously lacked depth and that is what's hurt Weis so far.

I agree with you that he hasn't gotten the most out of the players he's brought in, but I think this is the year they'll turn the corner.

    Yea it has...

I can't believe this freshman kicker for FSU is hitting such deep field goals, yet he has trouble with extra points.

The ending to this game was un-fucking-believable. Ponder drove the team 50 yards to the goalline, only to come up short. How many plays did they run from inside the 5? about 4 or 5?

    Jesus, that was ridiculous.

FSU was terrible on clock management at the end of that game

Wooohohoho. That throw by Harris to Benjamin on the sideline is going to be remembered as one of the best plays of the season. I think it's only made better by the fact that he was thinking of taking off, but saw the opportunity and just flicked the wrist. What a play.

I caught the end of the Miami-Florida St. game. Quite a finish. So after the game, ESPN's Erin Andrews asks Miami QB Jacory Harris what he was thinking about when Miami scored the final TD. I so wanted him to reply "I was thinkin' 'bout yo' ass wigglin' in dat peep cam, bitch!":)

Yes the same Tyrone Willingham who had absolutely no idea who the hell Jeffrey Samardzija was? No surprise that once Weis came along that Sharkie began to be a TD threat and an explosion for the team in his 2 year stay.

Willingham had this unknown love for Holiday and it was so bad he was trying to neglect to have Quinn come in right away up until Quinn forced him to play his cards(The alumnis who put him on the hot seat probably had a role for this) and move Holiday to WR(What an experiment that was).

No surprise that after 2 decent years that Brady Quinn began to excel at the new Weis offense that was instituted for both his junior and season year. Fasano also got to break out in the Weis system and is now having a decent career with the Phins. While the big threat from Tyrone was Maurice Stovall who is another guy who's doing nothing.

Nevermind the fact that ND in Willingham's days had Ryan Grant(Who underachieved in college but to no surprise has been great in GB and away from Tyrone) while the best Weis got was Darius Walker who was an average at best runner and is nowhere in the NFL.

Yes you can recruit these guys all you want but its the coaching and ability to mold these players into being producers that makes the difference. Of course your going to get top recruits, this is Notre Dame we are dealing with, one of the more storied programs in the nation. But difference with Charlie and Tyrone is that one can mold these guys into being NFL talents and the other one coulden't.

I think that was the whole point... Ty left the cubard full of talent for the Michelin Man to win more than a few games in his 1st year.

Yeah but who was the one to produce these guys and help them get better? Heck if Tyrone was kept 1 year longer, Sharkie probably would have left early for baseball before doing anything in football and Quinn would have been at best a 1 year wonder.

I just cant understand how Weis gets no credit for developing these guys into becoming big time guys?

I think the reason is because he has failed to do it with his own players, i'll give him credit for finding the talent on the roster after Willingham left and putting them in a system that they could win with, but he has failed miserably in assessing depth and coaching up his own class.

And that TD from Harris to Benjamin looked better than Erin Andrews naked in a peep hole video. Now let's send it down to Erin on the sideline. Erin?

Florida players celebrating after scores and turnovers remind me of watching someone brag about dominating Madden on Easy.

The Fresno/Wisc game on ESPN is also a good one.

24-21 Wisc with just over 5 minutes remaining.

    Fresno Ball.

24 all with Wisconsin driving in OT. Fresno still gets a shot too.

What the hell, Central Michigan. You've matched up pretty evenly all game. There's no sudden death in college.
