Hmm... if this is Kerry's news, why have we not considered that he's like... engaged or he knocked someone up? And Jets fans would care because...we...love...Kerry Rhodes? Seriously, at least admit it's fake guys...or tell us what it is. This is JUST annoying.
No offense to Jets fans who get excited about JetBlue. Whatever floats your boat. I have been a Jets fan for over 25 years, and a Jetblue partnership gets me as excited as a handjob with sandpaper. So unless this affects every Jets fan not just ones with money I could care less.
At this point I think there's just too much to read into. What he said is really just too vague to even bother. The 4 QB thing makes me more suspicious than anything. But the more I think about it, the more I wonder how soon any new receiver could make an impact. They aren't running out to the telephone pole and cutting outside. Some level of familiarity with the playbook would be necessary. How soon could anyone be a factor? Marshall has been playing with the twos, and coming back from an injury and a 2 week suspension, then to be traded less than 7 days before the season starts seems like in maybe week 4 or 5 he'd really start to shine. Not that he couldn't adapt quicker but, it seems like a stretch. Who the hell knows? Having 4 QBs seems like a roster hostage, though. edit: Not to mention that I guess its not the end of the world. I think so far these guys we have are showing some abilities.

We kept 4 QBs on the roster last year and if Clemens is still hurt like Ryan said then it would make sense to have another backup. Don't read too much into it. He's probably just telling him that it would be easier to find out with the rest of us.
Probably the fact that everybody keeps blowing up their twitter accounts. I don't think its Marshall and I don't think it's JetBlue.

Maybe, but then to clear the roster spot doesn't someone need to go on IR? Otherwise it's just a wasted spot, when there are other needs.
i think it's jetblue. kerry was probably one of the jets chosen to be at the announcement. thats why he knew about it early. idk why i should be so excited about it but kerry thinks so.
He gets paid to be excited about it. If he's implying that I need to travel to away games to be a "true jet fan" then he's clearly forgotten what it's like to be independantly unwealthy.
Okay, it's pretty clear at this point that there is zero chance that a big trade rumor would go this long without anyone but Kerry Rhodes knowing. It's going to be something lame, and we're all going to hate/love Kerry for about 5 minutes because of it.
That's a good point and could very well be true, I just have a feeling it is something else. No idea what, though.
