Oh He's Around just not posing on this thread. I wounder why? http://forums.theganggreen.com/member.php?u=9550
Please provide proof of this. He is listed as 3rd string on the depth chart but we all know those aren't the most accurate, but I saw or read nothing about him starting. I know they lost their starting DT for the year and Tommie Harris is still coming back from injury. 2 other points: 1) Vernon Gholston is starting too 2) Why take a guy in the 1st round when you can get him in the 3rd The 2nd point was my point the whole time. I wasn't arguing whether the kid could play or not, I was baffled why many on this board wanted him at #17 when NOBODY else had him sniffing the 1st round. It was pure you tube jump out of the pool idiocy in my opinion.
http://www.nationalfootballpost.com/Wilson-Jets-sign-Ben-Hartsock.html I don't know how reliable that source is, never heard of it.
Great signing. I'm happy with this offense right now, Brandon Marshall be damned. I'd prefer Dez Bryant.
Actually, I wonder if there is any chance now that Hartsock might be used in some running plays to his side in tomorrow's preseason game. Probably too soon I guess.
Jets | Hartsock signed Comment (0) Tweet me! Wed, 02 Sep 2009 13:31:01 -0700 Rich Cimini, of the New York Daily News, reports the New York Jets have signed unrestricted free-agent TE Ben Hartsock (Falcons) to a one-year deal worth $1.275 million, according to a source. And one more from kffl.com....
Good, we needed a blocking TE that doesn't have an O-Line receiver capabilities. I just looked at a Falcons forum and they liked him and were kind of upset he had to go, and complimented his blocking. Good pick up.
Seems like a decent pickup. If he doesn't work out, they resign Bubba after the 1st game. That contract amount seems a little high for a journeymen (LW makes half that). Is that the veterna minimum?
yep. Running game just got that much better. running a 2 TE set can be confusing, because is it going to be a run or a passing play with Keller on the field with 2 WRs. Even in the Red Zone, 2 TEs with Keller out wide and one WR with Richardson and one of the RBs in the backfield..... who's to say that's a run play?
Exactly. Why spend more now for a headcase Star WR, when we can get a similar type of player in the draft next year for only 1 pick with less baggage?
