The better question is, how many yards/TDs will Houston's number two WR have?

Kevin Walter is no slouch either....Lito will be busy. Hopefully Lito won't be yankin on his jersey...causing penalties all day.

I would be more concerned about their TE Daniels and HB Slaton causing matchup issues due to a lack of pass rush than anything else. Sheppard had a bad game against the Giants, but that isn't his typical performance. He's a good CB.

I think the point we can all agree on is that the Houston offense is potentially dangerous on all fronts. Slaton, Johnson, Daniels, Walter....they have capable playmakers at all the skill positions.

The key for me is....actually...there's 2 key points

    1) Our pass rush has to be stellar and consistent.
    2) We could catch a break...and Schaub could be sitting out due to his ankle injury. Which leaves Orlovsky or Grossman to take the snaps.....and I don't know about you guys...but the Jets defense would certainly lick their chops over the possibility of seeing either of those 2 pilons taking the snaps.

Looks like Walter pulled a hammy at the last game, may not bother him anymore by the time the Jets roll around though. Hopefully it'll linger and hold him down :)

This will be a heck of a matchup, I'm interested to see who gets the best of who. Andre Johnson is awesome, so I expect him to get his catches, but if Revis can keep him away from the big plays its a win, like someone posted before. He won't be held to nothing.

It is nice to actually see a decent thread started that doesn't involve Brandon Marshall, signing another WR, or Gholston sucking.

AJ will get his touches without a pass rush. No Pace or Ellis no pass rush. Sanchez will have to orchestrate something here. Revis better mirror AJ cause Lito will get toasted.

I expect Schaub and Walter to play. In fact, I'd be very surprised if either one missed at this point, though things can change.

Doesn't mean something can recur during a game. Schaub is fragile. And as my starting QB in one of my big fantasy leagues, I don't want to see him hurt. Same goes for Walter, whom I'm concerned about because I feel he'll be a big target opposite Johnson. Schaub won't want to throw towards Revis in the redzone, and Walter is probably their number one redzone guy anyway.

Daniels scares the crap out of me between the twenties. I don't know which LB on our squad can really guard him.

You might want to handcuff Schaub to "Run out the back of the endzone" Orlovsky or "Pick 6" Grossman on your fantasy roster, mang.

Yeah. I told Soss that I almost didn't draft him because I was worried Kris Jenkins would snap him in half. He already sprained his ankle 20 minutes after I drafted him.

At least my backup didn't slice his finger off the next day. Oh wait...

Yeah I think they put Ty Law and Kerry Rhodes on Fitz and Revis on man coverage vs. Boldin.

Yeah definitely have to keep an eye on Walter. He is a poor man's Wes Welker, pretty underrated receiver. The focus on Johnson and Slaton should open up a lot of opps. for Walter and Owen Daniels.

Also their kick returner Andre Davis is very dangerous. I've seen him take a few to the house.

You're right, Law wasn't signed until the week before the 2nd Pats game (week 11) and we played the Cards week 4. Was it Lowery and Rhodes mostly then? I'm just pretty sure it wasn't Revis.

dude the score was 34-0 at halftime with revis taking a pick 6 to the house.. he had 2 picks that game.. Jets in the 2nd half decided to play prevent defense and was letting arizona get yardage..

    revis dominated that game

I'm not arguing that. In fact, most of our pressure came in the first half. If we do the same thing this game, then we have a really good chance in shutting down Andre. In the 2nd half, the Cards made the proper adjustments and they lit our secondary up. As long as we're able to put pressure on the QB, our CB's will be fine. If not, then I expect Revis to have a long day ahead of him. The difference between the Cards and the Texans is, they actually have a running game and a Pro-Bowl TE to compliment AJ on the outside.

Is Revis capable of shutting down AJ? Yes. Will I be surprised if he doesn't? No. Because I recognize that Andre is one of the best in the league. Of course, all this is dependent on whether Schaub plays the entire game.

andre johnson is going to catch a lot of balls... some might be on lito, some might be in a zone defense... thats just the game... when schuab gets pressured he doesnt avoid it very well and struggles... if he sits back there he is one of the best in the league because of his great arm

I seem to recall Larry doing quite well in the playoffs last year, and Boldin was not the reason. Larry is quite capable of lighting up even playoff quality opponents without Boldin's presence.

Of course I also think Breaston was probably the best #3 receiver in the league last year, so maybe you should have mentioned him. But attributing it to Boldin is just not persuasive.

Ftr I think Larry is the best wideout in the game right now.

the point i was making is that Fitz faces less double coverages when Boldin is on the field....and certainly benefits from having Boldin on the other side in the whole scheme of things. Johnson doesn't have that luxury.

I'm not saying Fitz isn't talented.....but he's been in a better situation than A.Johnson since they came into the league. Why do you think Fitz was willing to give up some of his salary so the Cards would sign Boldin to an extension........even Fitz knows the value of having an elite wideout on the other side.

And you're correct....Breaston made a significant impact last season also.
