KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) -- The Kansas City Chiefs have fired Chan Gailey as offensive coordinator.

The Chiefs said head coach Todd Haley would address Gailey's status with the team after Monday's practice.

The Chiefs had retained Gailey when Haley was hired in the offseason.

The team is heading into the 2009 season with big questions about its offensive line, and the health of quarterback Matt Cassel. Cassel was injured in Saturday's preseason loss to Seattle.

I have no faith in Haley as a coach, so whatever.

Herm fucked that team up pretty good too.

Haley, Gailey, it was just too confusing, one of them had to go.

Pioli must be livid. Not a great start to his GM tenure in KC. And now he most likely doesn't have his prized free agent pickup Cassel for the Chiefs season opener and possibly longer, not looking so good Scott.

Why? I think Haley is going to be a really good coach. I love the Parcells in him.

Herm always leaves a bunch of garbage for others to clean up.... This is an odd time to make a decision like this.

Hard to blame Herm now, he isn't there. It's probably all Chad's fault.

Bill Belichick's master plan of poisoning the league with suck is going off without a hitch.
