Yeah because he is I know, but Ainge just makes him look even smaller , I had to laugh at the size of his helmet in comparison to his body. Hope the guy makes at least the squad though.
What exactly does Leon Washington have to do with Woodhead. I don't think anyone has ever claimed Leon was big.
I think 6'11" officially. 7'5" was his "fighting" height. Obviously mentioning Washington hit a nerve with a couple of people here..so Darren Sproles is 5'7", Maurice Jones-Drew is 5'6", Joe Morris was 5'7", Ray Rice is 5'8"...the list goes on forever. A lot of very good RBs have been in that range.
Good insight Don, I totally forgot about Joe Morris. I hate the Giants, but liked certain players like Morris. and let's not forget Barry Sanders either.
The problem with Woodhead yesterday was that he just kept running straight no matter where the hole was and no matter if he could cut back like Leon does... OPEN YUR EYES LITTLE GUY
Yep, but Washington doesn't look like a bubblhead in his lid. I read this the other day and thought of our Danny... Full story > http://bleacherreport.com/articles/239064-little-man-big-heart-the-ten-best-small-running-backs
He's a quick little bugger though.....if he ever gets past the second level They'll never catch him. Don't get why they tried to pound him inside the other night instead of trying to get him outside with that speed. Seems like that's where he would be more effective....
His center of gravity is so low, I guess like Leon hes hard to pick up on with all those big bodies moving about
There were times when I saw him deliver the hit and fight for as much yardage as he could. He's not the biggest guy in the world, but I've seen plenty of our guys run right into the line and get nowhere. I think that's more on the OL than the RB. I agree if he is put in a position where he could get outside or use his speed then he could be successful. The same with Leon. The problem is our OC has shown a tendency to screw around and not make the best decisions.
