I knew it, it was the Jets and their fans that caused Brett to wear down at the end of the year. You guys forced him to show off at that first practice!

Chilly points out that Favre's first practice last year with the Jets entailed too many throws.

"By his own admission, he probably threw 200 balls in the Jets first day of practice and probably set himself back, with the fans and the crowd," Childress said. "Trying to show off, a little bit."

no, it was all the passes to high school kids during his retirement hiatuses that did him in.

New theory: Favre is too old to compete at a professional level and his unwillingness to train year round before diving into an NFL season left him with terrible conditioning and his out of shape body finally shit out on him due to the amount of work he had to do during TC and the preseason which is on par with every other starting QB.

The last 5 weeks of the season entailed too many throws too. Unfortunately those ones counted.

If Brett wants to just show up to play the games on Sunday without the practice, training and workouts, then he should join a flag football league in his hometown of Dumbass, Mississippi.

I wasn't there at practice but I feel horrible about this and take full responsibility for whatever role I played in this travesty. Sorry guise.

Brett was spot on until the Denver game. During that game and after he was DONE. No other way to look at it. The dude was done. I can't imagine he will be any different in Minny.

    I'll buy that one!
and add, Favre also suffers from a case of primadonnavagabitchus syndrome.
which there is no cure of and gets worse with time

Favre was injured, tore something, and was still playing last December. Thanks Favre...shoot yourself in the face.

More excuses...the fact he threw 200 passes the first day and his arm got "tired" has nothing to do with the high risk, piss poor, "I dont't give a fuck", throws he made the last half of the season. Fuck Favre...Good luck Vikings fan.

I'm sure he'll give you a good first half of the season but I have no doubt he will wear down and fuck you over after Week 9.

Probably not. He never wanted to play here. He almost quit rather than play here. He wants to play in Minnesota so that he can get back at GB. Expect them to go to the playoffs at least.

    New theory.

You guys just hate anything SOUTH of the Hudson River ...

I thought that QB from Mississippi started out pretty good. He didn't suck until after the Titan's game.
