imagine all the season ticket holders that have absolutely no idea how bad things truely are and how badly they are being shafted. then again ignorance is bliss. has anyone posted the blatant lies over on ji?
whats JI? j/k thats like asking someone who works for playboy if they shared their pictures with hustler
337...If I'm not mistaken, a parking pass is not required for preseason games--at least that is what i was told by someone who went last year.
Off Topic, but only for now. The mets decided that 13 out of their last 26 home games they will have tickets up to 50 percent off. I wonder if thats in the Jets future when the new stadium opens. Mets are doing the right thing at least. no one oes there
We don't plan on being a disgrace like the Mets. The jets are gonna win the division this year. Please, don't mention the SMhETS on this site. Thanks
you have to buy at least 6 games though. not just 1. and those 6 are like against the nats and the padres and pirates. so a $180 tix is $90 but x that by 6. cost you $540
I'm one of those people that paid up for lower sideline PSLs. Where will you be able to get the PSL for a steal? I don't think many will be willing to resell their PSLs for less then they paid for it especially if they are good seats. Just like the tickets, I don't think anyone that brought PSL will be willing to sell their tickets for less, most will go to the games. You will see much less tickets listed on eBay and much less scalpers.
okay post # 2559 was the e-mail I sent to the Jets------I just got home from work, opened my mail and here is the reply I got from THE NEW YOUR JETS " There are different ticket plans but no discounts, any one who purchases a less then a full game plan pays more per ticket. Full season ticket holders get more games at a cheaper price per ticket. Full season ticket holders also have the right of first refusal when it comes time for playoff tickets. There are not rebates or discounts. Thank you "
Allow me. There will be people who must sell their psl's for financial reasons, or they die and the estate wants to sell them. These people will find zero buyers for the amount you paid (if such people existed they would buy PSL's from the Jets, who aren't coming close to selling them out). Thus to find a buyer you will have to find out what the demand is. Allow me to help you with that. . . The demand is zero. Thus, any sale of a PSL will almost certainly be for a fraction of what you paid.
It's not just the PSLs either. It's the $700 per ticket per game..even if they were stupid enough to buy the PSLs they wouldn't want to pay $700 to see a game they could have seen for years for $100. When the economy comes back and if enough businesses feel their clients might want to see a Jets game then they will be sold. It will be a tough sell until then.
The Mets dumped alot of tickets on Theatremania a site for Broadway tix. The dicounts there are from 30 to 50 percent off face and you can buy single games.
First off if the Jets don't sell out lower sideline PSLs you don't think there will be some deal to get fans to buy them? Look at 2009 you don't have to buy preseason but the fans that paid in advance get screwed. The way the Jets do things I wouldn't be surprised if those 15k sideline PSLs get marked to 10k or if they agree to not make you buy preseason for a few years or something to get people to buy the remaining PSLs. Another area will be the Mezanine B PSLs. Same PSL as mez A but lousy location. Don't be surprised to see them move those to $2k but the people who already bought won't be cut any kind of deal. The re-sale market in 2011 will also be flooded with people who bought them thinking they would re-sell, divorces, etc. The majority of Jets fans don't have or can't justify spending the kind of cash that the PSLs are going for. I also wouldn't be surprised to see some people try to just give away the PSLs by letting you take over their PSL payments.
First off - do you know for a fact that the PSL's are not selling . You state that there is 0 demand. But in essence the first you could resell/buy PSL's is 2011. What the market demand is now vs then can be totally different, the economy could be much more stable and if we as fans have any luck , the Jets will be playing quality football with a franchise QB - which always helps with ticket demand - just ask the Pats pre/post Brady. Now don't get me wrong I still don't like the PSL's , but I think the hatred and resentment over paying them is skewing people's perception of capitalism.
The re-sale market will only get flooded if people can get a fair price ( read equal to or above what they paid) . Yes, there is always turnover due to death/divorces/relocations etc .. but that won't project to the wholesale flooding that people here are predictibg.
There are only about 37,000 seats/PSLs that is from $4,000 to $20,000. The rest are club seats. You may be right, due to financial reasons, some people may have to sell their PSLs but there are only 37,000 PSLs. Therefore, there would have to be a substantial percentage of people that brought PSLs that "dies" or have "financial problems" before the PSL will be anywhere near a "steal".
