only thing preseaon is good for is bringing young kids. keep them away from the regular season and the nasty drunks who fall rows in front of them
The only thing preseason games are good for is taking very young kids to see their first game. You get in the door with the cheapest seats (i.e., FREE seat) you can get and then move your ass down to the 50YL in the 1st Row. The weather is warm and the kids get to eat all kinds of junk and "cheer" for their team even though they don't even know WTF is going on, then you leave at the half becasue it's bedtime and you tell them that the Jets "won." Everybody is happy and it doesn't cost you a dime. Only 227 gets fucked with it to the tune of $480 plus parking pass, but so what? He's supposed to get fucked anyway. After all, he's a loyal Jets fan and season ticketholder.

My only suggestion to woody the worm to REVERSE this mass screwing of the die hards is to stop shoving preseason tickets down our throats. Make the preseason tickets OPTIONAL and possibly the hatred may subside somewhat.
they are full of shit they say they are charging $90 for the $80 seats to those who are buying half season tix.so if you take the 2 halves the 2 different people who buy the tix will pay $200 more then the jets LOYAL fans. also upgrade emails where sent to season tix holders in june and had to by answered by july or else no upgrade. another reason the full season misses the preseason is being sold is b/c the preseason had to go on sale to the general public and they have ALL BEEN BOUGHT ALREADY!!!! i said he was full of shit and that i cant even give them away. he told me i would believe how many group tix and football camps are going to the games.he said the game has to be sold out or by NFL rule it is to be blacked out. lots of shit and if i started to talk while he was it was "SIR SIR I LET ME EXPLAIN" and i was getting real mad. ok someone else call. even if your not a season ticket holder just call and see what excuse you get.

Thats funny, I don't ever recall seeing an "Upgrade Email". That's total bullshit. If anyone did in fact receive such a thing, I'd love to know about it. And now they're telling you that the preseason games are SOLD OUT??!!!! This is getting worse than talking to a used car dealer (no offense to any used car dealers out there).
Wow this looks bad. As I've posted before, if this is what it actually looks like (perhaps the camera plays tricks on the eye), a lot of the UD fans for both the Jets and Giants will be one and out with 2011 having an empty building.
I just called the ticket office and told them about the rumor I have heard that some people are being offered 2009 season tickets WITHOUT having to pay for any preseason games. I figured, before I tee off, I'm going to give them a chance to tell me straight up whether or not this is true. The woman on the other end assured me over and over that THIS IS NOT THE CASE, that anyone buying 2009 Season Tickets is REQUIRED to buy the 2 preseason games. Even with the 1/2 package, they have to buy 5 games, one of which is the worthless, cockamamie preseason game. In fact, she even said that the newcomers are having to pay MORE than I have paid, that an $80 seat is $85 (+ the preseason). So what is going on here? Am I to believe what I have read on here or am I being told a lie by the ticket office? Someone please help explain this discrepancy.

she lied to you bro. i was offered a full season package minus the pre-season games. i have nothing to gain or lose by lieing. i actually paid for a season ticket with pre-season games included as part of my bro-in-laws tix. i may buy my own and just sell individual games at face value. or invite more people to the game. undecided. the jets ticket office are lying no good rotten bastards. imagine the mess if they had to refund people who already paid?
ok someone call and pretend they want to buy season tix. go thru the motions of picking out sect and row and seat#.then see if you hvae to get the preseason games.next see what the per game and whole season price is. then call them out on it.
I'm not doubting your word. It's just too freaking bizaare though. If this is what they are doing on the phones, SOMEONE is going to get wind of it and blow it wide open in the news. All it's going to take is ONE buyer to buy the 8 games and walk away with an invoice showing that instead of 10 games and the cat will be out of the fucking bag. Something is really screwed up here.
