You said you don't think it's his pitch/innings count, and the reason you gave was because of the "time of the year." I think you reached the right conclusion, but for the wrong reason.

But you are suggesting that there's "something going on" with him.

As the dude above said, I don't think you read anything into these two games, aside from the possibility that they're trying not to burn out a young arm and are erring on the side of caution.

Jason bay back in LF, hitting 5th. sox called up PawSox closer Fernando Cabrera (the guy who replaced Bard).

Hoping for a sweep tonight. Would love an exclamation point stamped on this series.

Of course, they did that against the Indians, facing Jaret Wright (in his first game back off the DL), Terry Mulholland, and David Riske. If they're going to do that again, they're going to have to do it against (hopefully) a more effective group of pitchers.

Nobody watching tonight? Jeter with the lead off single on a 3-2 pitch.

They also missed the playoffs that year so yeah....

My eyes so far tell me it's probably not gonna be 15 tonight either.

he does have a lot of wins, not HOF status and his ERA is very high. maybe last ballot.

No, though he's one of the few Yankees I like. He doesn't have enough wins, his ERA is near 4, not close to 3,000 Ks, never won a Cy, and even though I don't think it SHOULD matter he has the PED thing and the writers will likely take that into account. He's been a very good #2 guy for his career. Nothing to be ashamed of, but no way is he close to HOF caliber.
