I'm going to go out on a limb and say it won't be in the Arena League.

Let's think for a moment... Maybe Michael Crabtree is a lot smarter than we think. Maaaybe Crabtree sees the situation in San Francisco and feels it's not the best place for him, and he wouldn't want to get locked in there only making #10 money. Maaaaaaaybe he feels because he didn't run the 40 before the draft he dropped a lot further than he should have. MAAAAYBEE he thinks that if he spends the offseason working on his 40 and sharpening his skills he'll shine at the 2010 combine. MAAAYYYBBBEEEE he's thinking about a jump to the UFL, where he sign wherever Mike Vick goes and utterly dominate to boost his stock all the way to #1!!

    Naaaah, he's just a moron.

he can't gain a thing by sitting out.s.f. holds his rights till the minute the 2010 drafts starts.that means no private workouts or combine participation.the only thing he could do is go to the u.f.l .

I never thought the Raiders were dumb for passing on Crabtree. That doesn't change the fact that they were dumb for selecting DHB though.

anybody with football knowledge knows that Crabtree is an overrated moron that played in a pass-happy offense at Texas Tech.

If the Jets cough up their 2010 first round pick for this headcase.....Tanny should be hung in the town square.

EDIT: Do you not see what he's doing to the Niners?? Why the f*ck would you want this clown?!

...and 2010 is one of the deepest drafts in a very long time. Anyone who follows prospects and does not have thier head stuffed in thier ass knows this. Why give up a first next year when depending on how well we really do we could be drafting a better receiver than Crabtree? Thats why none of the big name receivers got moved this summer. No GM is about to hand over thier 2010 first for these guys.

Crabtree is the next primadonna WR in the NFL. He's heading the way of TO and Ochocinco. While I'm all for adding talent, I have no need for one of those guys on the roster. Add in the Rookie QB and thats a volitile situation. No thanks.

Is Mike Leach going to come out with a statement now saying that all of the people criticizing Crabtree are being unfair to him? Could it be that Mangini was actually right about something back in April?

Wasn't crabtree damaged goods going into the draft? I thought he was lucky to go as high as he did.

MAngini was a wuss about playcall and schemes, but he new players. He was involved in the draftign of Brick, Mangold, Revis ect. All the guys he brough in wit ha first, out side of gholston, have not only been quality players, but quality people. I don't doubt he saw several red flags about Crabtree and decided to pass.

so figuring we win 10 games. how deep will the draft be say with the 20th pick in 2010? crabtree is worth a gamble based on our current roster of underachievers.

I get that Crabtree is probably an idiot but how does his agent let this go on? If he does go to the 2010 draft won't he most likely drop because he is a pain in the a$$? Say he gets hit by a car this year, he won't get a dime next year. His agent has to be putting stuff like that in his ear just to get him to sign.

First off, I don't think many people see us winning 10 games this year. Not to say we won't, but I think most people here are thinking 9-7 at best (not that anyone besides IJReilly can accomplish future prediction- him and his damn midget blood......). I'm hoping I'm wrong though.

That being said, our pick would likely be earlier than 20, unless we trade it away. Don't forget the QB pool will also be better, so some of those good receivers are likely to fall lower.

Furthermore, Crabtree seems to be Chad Johnson Jr., except Chad Johnson is proven to be a good receiver in the NFL. As an aside, I thought I heard somewhere that Crabtree's agent had no knowledge of this hold-out notion, and it turned out to be his cousin or some relative running their mouth about something Crabtree supposedly said. The agent denied any claims that he would hold out for the season. Am I wrong?
