Your posts in this thread remind me of my roommate always insulting his team and acting like he is assuming they will lose, hoping that this will jinx them to victory. Haha.

I want Joba's first pitch to Youkilis to hit him between the shoulder blades. I can't help it... I'm just curious to see what would happen.

I can't wait to see what Joba looks like at 50.

I also would pay good money to see Joba hitting against Beckett. Somebody needs to hit that motherfucker.

only game I'm worried about is game 4. Pettite has been pitching well but you never know what to expect from him.

Pettitte has typically been a much better pitcher in the second half. So far, he's following that trend this season, too.

When he struggled earlier this year, Posada and Pettitte both said that he had lost his feel for the cutter, and basically shelved it. But they said he's been getting it back in the past few starts, and has been throwing it more often. We've seen the results.

  10. I'd like to think we can take 3/4 but the 0 for 8 stat is just embedded into my brain.Yanks need a win tonight get back to reality, but W/ the Yanks luck Smoltz will throw a gem and some random sox player like Nick Greene will hit for the cycle.

If Joba can take out Youkilis with a fastball this series, and get away with it, I would laugh my ass off....

The 04 and 07 championships were clearly roidtastic, but most teams are during this era. I am not surprised or judging it. I doubt many are.

If the Yankees can't play well against the Sox this series, it might just not be their year.

I'm gonna chant "no clean championships since '18 (clap clap clap clap clap)" I guess.

Well I don't care, because the Yankees are winning the WS!!!

Strange lineup tonight with Youkilis in left field. I'd rather have seen him in right with Drew in center and Ellsbury in left but whatever.

    Code:
    Red Sox:
    Ellsbury 8
    Pedroia 4
    Martinez 2
    Youkilis 7
    Ortiz DH
    Drew 9
    Lowell 5
    Kotchman 3
    Lowrie 6

    Smoltz pitching

    Yankees:
    Jeter 6
    Damon 7
    Teixeira 3
    Rodriguez 5
    Matsui DH
    Posada 2
    Cano 4
    Swisher 9
    Cabrera 8

    Chamberlain pitching

Weird Youk in LF? Gotta say even though I am a Yankee fan I respect Youk for being a team player and a sabermatricans wet dream. You guys have a deep bench, but they seem to only play 1B lol...why did u trade LaRoche dor another 1B man lol?
