wtf would that accomplish????? he is second on this list in TDs and would be ahead of 4 guys as far as yards. why would we want to move him into a lower category of player????
Should they have SB wins, or at least have gone to 1 or more SBs? Because just from that list you can see why those guys are HOFers. Brady, even without the 07 season fits squarely in that category. Can you say HOF?
It would be to show that the numbers aren't what get players into the HOF, it's the post season successs and the more talneted team you play on the more likely you'll be a HOFer. Marino, Elway and Favre are rare becuase they would be HOF'er with or without the SB wins, but players like Aikman and Montana most likely wouldn't have been because their numbers wouldn't have been impressive enough to make the hall without the SB titles. It isn't as much about Montana and Aikmans skill as it was being drafted in the right place at the tight time. Hell, look how much talent both Aikman and Montana had around them. Then look at the talent around Marino. Aikman and Montana had a ton of HOF talent around them, as did Kelly, Bradshaw and so on. Dan Marino played with one HOF caliber player his whole career and that was his left Tckl Richmond Webb and he still isn't in the hall fame. My point is take away all the talented players that surrounded those other QB's and take away their SB wins, but let them keep their stats and they won't be HOFers.
Riiiight. Take away the teams they played for but let them keep their stats. Are they going to be throwing the ball to themselves? Your arguments make less and less sense as you go along. Here, I got one for you: Take away all of the other teams but the Jets since 1969 and they have won 40 Super Bowls.
Take away my great looks, my charm and my clothes and I'm just a vanilla gorilla standing in the street.
