i figured if you guys are gonna bash tj you might as well add lw to the mix of things. this situation is ugly and shouldnt be happening. it never fails all the good that went on the draft is ruined by this.

please write out complete sentences. Deciphering the Twitter language all the time isn't all that fun.

Its happening, but since we've been told that both sides are trying to come to an agreement, there is only the waiting game. If both sides were at a standstill, then I'd be more pissed.

So...you created a thread to "bash" Leon Washington....because some other posters disagree with TJ's contract stance?!

Its not bitching when you ask politely, so bitch would be the wrong word to use.

And its for the sake of the board. I'm not the 1st to request it from the OP.

Why are you defending Twitter language?

Problem is the uncapped year and the expiring CBA here isn't it? I'm not sure what both of these guys are looking for right now as the market can radically change once the new agreement is in place. They should sign a 1 year extension, see what the new CBA brings, then negotiate from a position of certainly instead of gambling on a new CBA that may or may not be more lucrative.

then all you're seeing is 'contract dispute' and not understanding the reasons why they are holding out.

TJ doesn't really deserve more money, LW needs a new contract. There is a difference.

    I agree.

The circumstances of the 2 players is totally different. Jones has 2 years left on his contract, and has already received $13,000,000. He didn't give any money back after 07 when he only scored 1 TD. Why should he get a new deal now because he is off the kind of season they paid him to have.

Washington is in his contract year. He is also looking at perhaps an uncapped season which will extend his RFA tag.

    IMO, screw Jones, pay Leon

right on the money what a wooden nickle or a two headed coin. both nfl players are under contract both should be in camp neither one was forced to sign the deals they signed.

    i LOLed.

anyway - its been known that when a players gets a big contract they slack off. And I'd like to hear your opinion on 30 year old RBs getting a fat new contract and the logic behind it.

you're not seeing the whole picture.

And Leon is still under his rookie contract.....if he wanted to play in the NFL (considering he was a 4th round draft choice)....he kinda HAD to sign his contract.
