That article was classic! Joe thinking it makes sense......even better. Oh, the Giants wanted Bay? Raiders made the right move then. I mean the Giants won the Super Bowl a couple years ago. Which means the Raiders are Super Bowl bound. In Joe's logic atleast.
no the point is IF Giants had a deal in place at sixteen to trade up for DHB. How can Raiders still get him at 23, as someone alluded to. Point being if you don't know what your talking about, its better to keep your mouth closed.
IF you went to a real football school, and watch some real football. You wouldn't be using your madden game as a reality check, what happens in the real world. Again it sounds good on paper, (trading back, trading up and still getting the player you want. But it dosen't work that way in the real life. Listen I don't have to legitimize the DHB pick. HIs play on the field will do that . one way or the other. Again another example of you living in your little fantasy world.
People don't trade back and trade up? I must be watching the Arena League draft in April then... And what is with you and "my" school? You have no idea where I went to school... Don't you have a glory hole to occupy somewhere?
Dude there would be a lot of offers to trade down. For God knows what reason the Bucs could have traded up for Freeman. A team could have traded up for Moreno. And gasp a team could have traded up for Crabtree, Maclin, or hell even Harvin lol!
Fanatsy talk? The fact is when the Qbs were gone no one wanted to be in the top seven.(no one was trading up) Reason. Guarantee money. They alluded to this perfectly during the draft. There is a hugh diffrence between top seven money and just after that. Crabtree alot of teams were willing to trade up, why didn't he go at 8 or Nine. (strike one) Where did Maclin fall in the draft.( proves no one were trading up for him) (Strike two) Harvin went into the top 10(strike three) IF your mom could of had balls, she be your father. Just saying what happens when you play the could of game. Just because you think a certain way was bound to happen , dosen't makes it right in reality. All worthless speculation on your part.
And still get the player they wanT. again don't let logic get in the way of your post. See Bill Parcells. HE had Orlando pace( a LT for the next decade) What did he do- kept trying to be cute(pull a Jimmy Johnson) kept trading back. He ended up with james farrior. That wasn't the guy he wanted. Even though farrior turned out to be a pretty good player in Pittsburgh. What would Jet fans rather have had Orlando Pace or James farrior. BTw Well by your post we can eliminate Cornel as a school you went to.
ahhhh more raiders bs!!!! go have another losing season! No but seriously while most people believe you should have traded back...you didnt...did they try to? no1 knows because we arent in the war room. So you got DHB because hes your guy, you know what i dont have a problem with that....but its sad when your owner doesnt leave the football decisions to the GM and coaches but w.e. keep building that "dynasty"
A real football school? I didnt know there were fake ones. And your like 45 you havent been to college in like 25 years if you even went to one which I doubt. Community college doesn't count in this case Joe. How does going to a "football school" make you anymore a more knowledgeable football player. Further note: I go to the University of Maryland which I have stated on this board atleast 5 times. Ive seen Heyward Bey play in probably 8 games in person, probably 15 in total. He is nothing special. Yea he is fast, but he got shut down in so many games. Let alone the fact that he dropped more balls then Ashley Lelie
There's no way he could have written that. The spelling errors are down to a minimum, the grammar is more or less accurate, and there aren't randomly capitalized letters strewn about the article. Joe, you're going to bleacher report for your answers? Come on, man!
Boy that sucked....bad. Professional writer there, calling him Craptree...how original. Sounds like a kid in grade school wrote it.
Telling us Justin Miller sucks in coverage is not telling us anything new. Only the Raiders would still try him at CB though.
Again Raiders are not hyping Justin miller for their secondary. He is just there to be the kickreturner. You see when you have talent at CB, you don't have to play guys that have no business playing a role in anyone secondary(see Dwight lowery) . Also having a Justin Miller has another benefit. When you have N Asomugha, Chris johnson and Stanford routt its tough to complete passes in practice. (Qbs and Wrs could get real discouraged) You break out Justin Miller(who Jets fans thought was a steal) out on CB and suddenly everyone on offense feels good about themselve.
They don't give scholarships (baseball) at community college. You go to a school that has a very good football program , you might actually go to the games and pay attention. For example- see yourself at maryland. You go to the games and you have no clue what your watching. Couple questions. True or false a WR is only as good as the Qb he has? How good was the Maryland Qb's? Maryland offense were they more a running team or a passing team? How many times was DHB doubled team as they didn't exactly have alot of weapons? Again as the article perfectly illustrated, if DHB played in a spread offense(same as Crabtree) his numbers would just as impressive. NOw if Crabtree played at maryland. You think his numbers would be any better. Get a Clue. Don't let facts get in the way of your post. Boomer Esiason has a diffrent take on DHB, i guess as a maryland alumni he saw less games than you. I forgot you took football 101 at maryland. I would try to get my money back. Yes I give you permission to use this post.
Dude AL davis isn't in the hall of fame for his looks. He has done everything in the NFL. Coached and built one of the most sucessfully NFL franchises. He is the raiders GM. He probably forgot more football , than alot of Gm in the NFL Knows. You just don't know your history.
You do know the bleacher report is like a wiki for retarded football fans. It's like hundreds of Jeaux clones writing articles about how their team always makes the right decision.
You've actually touched on some truth here, but not the kind you want. DHB at 16 is fair, which is apparently what the Giants had thought of doing. DHB at 7 is beyond retarded.
This is a very sound point. Michael Crabtree would not have been happy as an Oakland Raider. There would have been three years of modest production and media attention before Crabtree started making trade demands. DHB, on the other hand, has got to be happy that Oakland reached. He's getting a lot more money than he should have and he goes down in history as a top-ten pick and the first WR off the board in 2009. Say what you want about Al Davis, but the man knows that quality players don't want to play for the Raiders. That means a) paying obscene sums of money to free agents or b) signing/drafting players who have no right to bitch.
