Actually he's not even really "right out of college." I think he only played something like 15 games before he left early for the $$$?
I googled and couldn't find the exact #, but I did find this -- his first start at USC was 20 months ago, 10/13/2007, so I can't be too far off: http://www.pe.com/sports/college/usc/stories/PE_Sports_Local_D_usc_notes_10.3db1a8d.html
HAH, of course it is! 'Walking sex'. 'Walking sex'?! God love that rag. Hopefully they won't run a follow-up that says, 'Walking STD'.
Of the people complaining about Sanchez posing for a magazine shoot, I wonder how many have a hatchet face.
We get it, he is young. And just out of college. That is why it is a college draft, and not drafting 39 year old players.
dat one made me chuckle. Anybody that has a problem with a guy on a football team he follows taking pictures and allowing them to be put in glossy pages, must have a lot of problems with a ton of things. So inconsequential. I suggest some Jerry Garcia.
I'm sure Sanchez' new teammates will have more than their share of fun with the GQ photos. Next season, pretty girls sporting undersized Jets No. 6 jerseys. Eye candy men, eye candy!! The guy has gone out of his way to practice with the team so far and as long as he contunues to put in the work, I have no problem with him posing like "the Hoff" in some photos.
He started 16 games in college, which is certainly a knock on him. He also earned his degree, which he always said was the one thing he wouldn't leave college without. Oh wait, sorry. He only left for the money. Right.
It seems like ever since Rex Ryan has taken over there have been many segments on NFL Network and ESPN about the Jets. Plenty of appearances on different shows, etc. You did not get much of that when Mangini was around here. I am starting to think that Mangini made sure the media could not be involved with the Jets. Do you see much Browns coverage right now? No, not much at all.
Trust you? Why? So, because you admit that you knew nothing about the guy before he was drafted, you're free to make proclamations about his character with nothing to base it on? Say he didn't do enough in college. Say he hasn't earned the right to the hype. Both are absolutely arguable positions. To call his character into question and claim unequivocally that he's destined for failure? I can't even begin to imagine where you'd pull that out of. Oh wait, then you hedge your bets. You hope you're wrong? BS. If you had any doubts about his inability and his selfish manner, you wouldn't be speaking in absolutes. Don't pretend to start rooting for him now OR if and when he's successful. Who says we know that we even have ONE good QB? Clemens is just as much of an unknown as Sanchez, and I actually WATCH college football and loved him coming out of college.
