    probably not but someone was saying that about the ravens last year too.

    Lol nobody is asking Ed Reed to be a linebacker. The ravens don't need him in run support. So that point is moot. He is a free safety. High tackle stats by a free safety just mean that your linebackers aren't doing their job. (not to mention that in the first few years of his career they did use him more in run support and he had in the 70s and 80s in tackles. notice that in those years they were an average team.)

    If you're asking me if i want a safety guaranteed to get me 80 tackles a year or if i want one that will get me 5-10 picks a year and is a scoring threat...um...its no question

    Your numbers are off he only started the last 4 years in those 4 years he had 374 tackles that is alot of tackles. Anything before that does not matter cause he did not play so of course he is not going to put up big numbers.
