I am about to buy my Mark Sanchez Jersey. I couldn't decide whether to get the home Green or the Home Titans uni. Both are pretty cool looking, but I am not sure on the titan jersey. Anyone have one that they really like wearing around?
The Titans uni's are the throwbacks but i aint a huge fan of the colors so im gonna go with a Sanchez home jersey. Right after i get my Leon Authentic.
Yeah I know the titan uni's are throwback. Just couldn't decide between the green or the navy. I have been looking for an authentic Sanchez but couldn't find one.
Also one more thing about the Throwbacks... If some of you didn't know, it is the 50 year anniversary for the AFL so the Jersey has a cool badge on it this year.
I have an authentic Favre Titans jersey. It is indeed awesome. Doesn't mention Jets or Titans anywhere on it, iirc.
I think there are a lot of people that need to be educated about the Titans, the Jets and the AFL. We ARE the Titans. The NY Titans are the Jets. They are one in the same.
I like the Navy of the throwback jersey. And since it's a little more obscure than the traditional, it tends to get more comments/double-takes from people. At a Jets game last year I saw about 100 green Favre jerseys, only a handful of throwback ones...which to me made it better.
I understand the history, but the name has no resonance for me. The team has been the Jets as long as I have supported it. It's like asking New Yorkers to occasionally refer to their city as New Amsterdam.
You had me worried when you said you support the Jets and it didn't seem like you were including the Titans as part of the Jets. They have been called the Jets for my entire life as well, but the NY Titans are a part of my teams history. And we shouldn't be ashamed of them. They were one of the better teams that had some of the best players. Al Dorrow, Art Powell (who deserves so much more recognition than he gets), Bill Mathis, Don Maynard, Larry Grantham and Curly Johnson. I was actually thinking of creating an AFL Thread because it's going to be the 50th Anniversary this year. If I can get the time to put all the info together I will.
That is the only thing that bothers me...wish it had the NY Titan logo on there. Still haven't decided! Need to order it sometime today though.
Jersey101.com has home/away/Titans Sanchez jerseys for $35 ("authentic" quality). Takes about 2 weeks to receive though. Just thought I'd let you know. I bought a Favre from there last season and the jersey is excellent.
