Other than our defensive line, no projected starters on our defense are older than 28.

And Rex Ryan is the Jets HC, he's the leader of the team. If you think he didn't have anything to do with this draft you're fuckin bonkers.

    Is that your argument...?

Do you really believe this stuff? The fact you mentioned Gholston just killed your argument.

Seriously..I want to applaud the guy who talked about the Bears draft. They did really well as did the Giants. And look at the Patriots, between what they did the last two days and Belichek the entire off season getting Bodden, Galloway and Taylor, three low-risk, high reward signings.that's how you build a team.

this draft was awful we did a great job adding DE depth, a blocking TE and adding a wide receiver

Great point but I dont agree.

If NE is 95% Brady then why were they 11-5 with a first year QB?

They got Brady on the cheap while they had Bledsoe. Bledsoe was an expensive top 10 pick who cant even compair to Brady.

You bring in 8 or 10 guys from the draft and usually at least 2 stick. Sometimes 3 and sometimes 4 or more stick. But the best part is that they are all young and cheap. Building from the ground up with young hungry players.

OK..seriously he's going to want Jones, who has plenty of miles, little upside and wanting more dough?

I don't see it...the best the Jets could get for him is 3rd round pick.

But they all have their franchise QBs. Do you want to review what the Giants had to give up to get Manning? How about the amount the Bears had to give up to get Cutler? And NE struck gold landing Brady in the 6th round. If they didn't have their franchise Qbs, don't kid yourself, they all would be trading up like we did.

    Ditto!!

I'm all about the NFL draft and getting picks, but quality over quantity is so much more important. I believe some fans just want as many picks as possible just to see who the Jets would pick. We are going to sign a bunch of UDFAs.

The NFL is a QB driven league......we got the face of our franchise for many years yesterday.

I mentioned Gholston because he probably will be put in. He barely played last year.

Yep that was my argument, I dont think that killed it at all. Go ahead, call me crazy, but Gholston will start and do well. He could only learn in his rookie year.

Yeah I am very optimistic that at worst he will be a good QB, I am also very optimistic that he will be a great QB, excluding the unknown injury factor of course.

Actually Douglas will more than likely be playing in Coleman's place, not Gholston. As a pass-rushing specialist, he is more suited for the OLB position in the 3-4, not the DE.

Greene will contribute, as will the other 2 rbs. That was what I was getting at by saying he was a starter, RB by committee with 3 rbs makes being the "starter" only a formality, any one could get more carries than the other 2 regardless of who starts. And since Rex says Sanchez will compete for the starting job instead of naming Clemens the starter, I don't think he will admit that Clemens could be better at this time than a guy he just traded up for. In other words, I firmly believe Sanchez is the guy week one. As for the guard, he's raw, but with his size and a year or two of learning on the job behind some great linemen, I just believe that he can get the job once Faneca is done or Moore is deemed expendable (we did cut him already, remember)

Are you serious? This is like ha ha funny, not this is shit I actually think....Right?

Why is NE successful? Tom Brady...If TB isn't the QB in NE, how many Super Bowls you think they win? Cleveland is starting off the right way? By getting 3 marginal players and a second rounder to fill out the rest of their mediocre roster. I'd have been impressed if Cle took Pettigrew at 17....All Cle did yesterday was set the Jets up with a shot at a franchise guy...

So we traded up and did not get a questionable WR in the first round. I think this was a good deal. Coleman was the highest paid invisible man on the team and I'm glad he is gone. Elam is a back-up, nothing more.

Since we traded for Sanchez, we do not need Ratliff. Neither does Cleveland but who ever said Mangini was all that great of a talent evaluator. He has tried to turn the Browns into the Jets. Good luck Eric. You'll need it.

Mr. Sanchez - Get it done!!!

I actually think we had a decent draft. We picked up a qb that will be the face of this franchise for year to come. Im sorry but i dont think KC has that "IT" factor that Sanchez has. Thomas Jones while he is a good running back our GREAT running offensive line made him look way better than he really is. So maybe Greene will help him shut up and work hard like he use to do before he let his stats build up his ego. We needed o-line depth so i have no problem with our last pick. As far as WR needs, it isnt as big a need as most people think, and if it is i dont think there was a Stud WR that we would have needed to fill that void. We have a bunch of GREAT 2nd string and down WR we need a #1 and that just wasnt there to get.

There seems to be a cadre of folks that are obligated to be negative about any and everything this franchise does. If they signed Jesus to a FA contract, these people would find a reason to hate the signing.

I'm saying this as one of the original darksiders. Get over your subliminal hatred of the Jets. Not everything this FO does will suit you but yanno what? You're not being paid to make the decisions either. Get on board and quit your bitchin. This franchise is still trying to become respectable so don't look for fckn miracles in ONE draft.

Try patience instead of petulance and you could actually enjoy waking up in the morning a Jet Fan..

I'd be hard pressed to call TJ an ego-driven player, or one who rides on his stats. The guy is a workhorse, and his work ethic isn't, and shouldn't be questioned. I don't think that the Jets should re-do his deal, but I don't think anyone can fault him for trying to boost his pay after the year he had.

The last word to associate with TJ is ego.

I think after any legnth of time as a Jets fan we always think the worst, because, the worst usually happens...But I can't remember seeing such hatred over a pick that could be described as a no brainer based on what we gave up and got...
