    1. This was a steal. We traded 3 players who might not even start for us, upgraded our 1st rounder and gave up our 2nd rounder...well worth it to me.

    2. Do you guys realize how much BALLS it took Tanny to pull this off? If this does not work, his ass is fucking toast.

    3. I am all for this and will be buying my Sanchez jersey ASAP

I can't believe anyone would actually be against the friggin' highway robbery the Jets got away with today.

    For crying out loud:
    - Money isn't an issue. Jets got a huge relief dumping their overpaid DE, and no franchise QB gets paid peanuts.
    - We didn't mortgage the future at all. Essentially, it was a 2nd rounder and bunch of shitheads that won't even be on the team in a couple seasons.
    - There couldn't have been a better pick. Fuck Crabtree...WRs are just as much of a gamble in the 1st rounds as QBs. If a risk needs to be taken anyway, I'd rather make it for a franchise QB than a superstar WR.

All those screaming for waiting til next years QB class is a joke. There are no guarentee's. If the Jets were sold on Sanchez, they made a heck of a move.

I hate when people bring up the "we could of had argument".
    A. Things could have turned out differently if we didn't take Sanchez.
    B. Maybe the Jets would have stayed put if they knew how everything was going to be played out. However, they did not and neither does any draft expert know whats going to happen.

How do we know that its not gonna turn out that everyone of value is gone and we are getting shit trade down value so we have to reach? We don't know.

How would anyone consider the Browns getting robbed?

They gave up 12 places in the draft.

    We gave up
-3 potential starters and at the very least, 2 proven players and one potential player. Two of the players were young and had room for development. That alone is worth 12 spots in the first round for any team that is not an elite team. ANd we threw in our second round pick. Mangini must be laughing his ass off.

If Sanchez doesn't turn out to be the next Tom Brady then we are the ones that got robbed.

are you kidding me? Coleman, Elam and Ratliff are nothing to shed tears over.......and are replaceable....especially Coleman's salary cap number.

    Cleveland did us a favor.

    Great trade by Tanny.....

Are you kidding me? Who gives a shit about "potential" starters? Mark Sanchez is a frickin' potential FRANCHISE QB.

    - Ratliff threw 2 bombs to a WIDE OPEN Clowney in PRESEASON. Any QB should be able to hit that target, or they should immediately get off the fucking field and retire.

    - Abram Elam is probably the dumbest DB we had on our roster. If he wasn't getting burned for TDs, he could also be seen lunging blindly into tackles and catching nothing but air. He may get a FF now and then, but at what cost? How many TDs and big plays would he have given up before then?

    - And Kenyon Coleman. Most overpaid statue on the roster. Just sign any fatass to not move at all, and plug him in that same spot.

ya I know what you said

how do you know they did us a favor? You have a crystal ball?

We gave up players that have proven they can play with starters. So for sure we helped them. The deal cannot sour for them. They are getting known commodities.

We got an unproven player that could bust. So how do you know they did us a favor?

All we gave up were 3 bums who proved they won't be in the league for much longer.

OMG two leons i would have creamed myself if this had happened why did we rape cleveland for our future franchise qb and not just ask the fortune teller to tell us that maclin would fall aaaaaaaaaaaall the way down to us at 17 and then grab another leon like mccoy this draft could have been best ever now it just sucks and i cry.

    To paraphrase, please STFU

You act like we gave up 3 guys that played 10 snaps a year. For all we know at this point Ratliff will turn out to be a better QB then Sanchez.

i just told you.....we gave up an overpaid DE that certainly wasn't anything special, and two other players that most likely weren't going to be starters (Ratliff & Elam).....you don't need a crystal ball to see how great a deal that was for this team....a 3rd grader could pick up on that.

Tanny unloaded cap space...and 2 guys who weren't going to see the field on a regular basis.....seems like a no-brainer.....for a potential franchise QB.....do the math, Einstein.....

I'm sorry, but how are you a football fan really thinking that they got a better deal? Can you answer me that?

I wouldn't go so far as to say that all 3 are on their way out of the league. Coleman and Ratliff are decent stand ins for a team lacking any personnel at their positions. Ratliff is a developmental project who clearly wasn't ready to start any time soon. For a team transitioning to the 3-4, and with huge holes, it was an ok pick up. For us? Yeah, I'd say the franchise QB was significantly more important. We can now address depth after June 1st. It's not like the draft is the only way to bring in guys who aren't going to start for you.
