The Jets have been in negotiations with the school to host the team's preseason workouts in July. The team announced earlier in the month that they planned to move their training camp from Florham Park, New Jersey. SUNY Cortland has a new sports complex complete with two turf fields. The Jets training camp usually draws thousands of fans every day and local officials say that would have a huge economic impact on the area. Governor Paterson's announcement will take place at 10 a.m. We will bring that news conference to you live. Was reading the Cuse website and saw that Gov. Patterson is holding a conference at 11AM to announce the Jets Training Camp being held at Cortland. I'll be there with out a doubt.
Also, the Jets will host 5 open June Minicamp practices at Florham Park. Finally for the LI Fans, the Jets will have Family Night Practice Weds August 12th at Hofstra. Fitz

Nice of them to make practices accessible to fans around the whole area, but isn't it a little disruptive to the team to move here and there for different practices? I'll probably try to go to the practice at Hofstra if they're having one there, but I'd prefer they stay in one place and not have to run around just to make the fans happy.
Once you get on 17 and past Middletown you can hit 70 80 easily. I drive up there at least 3 or 4 times a year to visit family. Can make it in 2 and half hours easy.
This team seems to do so much ass backwards stuff. They spend millions of dollars on a "state of the art" training facility and still have to rent space to hold training camp. What's next, they decide to rent space at Citi Field to play their home games there next season? Sometimes it really is embarassing to be a Jets fan.

But, you do get them the rest of the year. With the Buffalo game going to Toronto, we're missing our only chance to see them with-in reasonable driving distance.
