Simple question - thanks! I would be ok if it were for Braylon and they drafted McCoy or Green in rd 2.
I believe we gave up a 3rd for Farve, but somehow gained another??? If we had our original 3rd , I might give up the 1 and one of the threes for Boldin. Given the circumstances, we've got too many needs to address.
i would prefer braylin over screwface anyday! he may secretly hate us and try to destroy our team. can someone please start a thread and address why there is so much hype about bart scott who last year ranked 54 out of all linebackers in the nfl in terms of tackles. his tackles have also declined the last 2 years. 06 was his only outstanding year. he may be more athletic than last years linebackers but statistically he isnt that much better. barton had more tackles than her did, and harris wasnt 2 far behind.
I'd give up a 1st and 3rd Braylon; he'd be a much better option at #1 than Boldin and his drops are something that can be addressed.
No. If you go to a trade value chart, our pick is worth much more than the Giants or the Ravens. In reality we would be giving up the equivalent of the Giants pick plus a second rounder. I'd do our #1 for Boldin, that is it. If Moreno is there, I'll keep the pick. Does anyone think that Arizona won't call us if Moreno is there?
No, really need to fill the holes and Mike has generally done a nice job in the draft the previous couple of years. Keep the picks.
I think someone said it in another thread. If we're looking at taking a unproven WR with our 1st pick, then we're really only giving up a 3rd for Boldin, a guy who has already proven to be a #1 guy in this league. DO IT!
Boldin has played at #2 his whole career and he's had his fair share of injuries. He hasn't proven he's a #1.
Well in his rookie season he didn't have a #1 across from him and he put up big numbers. Watching him play, I don't think it's very difficult to project him as a #1 receiver in this league. Maybe he's technically not proven that he's a #1, but realistically I have to agree that he's a proven #1. The injuries are a concern.
He had a huge debut performance (10 catches, 217 yards, 2 TDs). However, he did almost all of that damage against a scrub cornerback named Jimmy Wyrick. 10% of Boldin's catches in 2003 came in that game, along with 16% of his yards, and 25% of his touchdowns. I have written on several different occasions here that Boldin does a lot of his damage against lesser cornerbacks. Larry Fitzgerald usually draws the opponent's top cornerback and is often double teamed. Boldin is very good, but he's not great. Fitzgerald has produced against all sorts of cornerbacks whereas Boldin has struggled at times against elite ones.
Edwards hands down. He has the build, speed, and he has plenty of big play ability. Younger too. If your gonna trade picks you go for youth. Plus Edwards is not gonna demand nearly as much as boldin. I'll take youth and cap friendlyness over older and pre madonna attitude. In addition to that we can give Mangini our dead wood that he covets.
you would give a 1 and 3 for chad johnson but not boldin or braylon... even though you said maybe that thought process is seriously flawed.
B. Edwards wants too much money, Boldin is too old (considering his playing style) so no I don't think they are worth a 1st and a 3rd...
