Yeah, I'm stopping with this bullshit. I've got stuff to do tonight other than feed the animals at the petting zoo on here.

Back on topic, I'd take Cotch over everyone on the Giants, and I'd take Stuckey over everyone other than Smith. Clowney's a wild card, but so is Manningham, who could very well develop into a #1 based on his talent. I'll give the edge to the Jets at this moment but even if the corps remain the same throughout the season, that could very well change (the gap could widen as well if Clowney ends up being a good one.

What the Hell are you even trying to say here? That the Giants' fans are smarter than you?

Not at all. Being wrong isn't enough to get you banned. You of all people should know that by now.

I thought it was a good question for discussion during the offseason 3 weeks before the draft.

It was a good question, at least it was something different. If we can have 15-20 Cutler threads we can have one bloody comparison thread.

Stuckey over Hixon is a tough one for me. Stuckey fit very well into his role but the Burress situation pushed Hixon into a starter's role and he did manage to improve a little bit toward the end of the season. I think he could be a solid #2 but I'm not so sure that Stuckey could be more than a great #3. I could be wrong about that one but I really don't see him anywhere except the slot.

We're comparing WR cores to a team we play once every four years.

Does it really make you feel better that we have a better WR since Cotch is more polished than anyone else on either team?

    Bunch of mediocre...

I just find it a bid odd we're comparing WR's to a team who will win at least 11 games despite "weak WR's" and we'll peak at 8-8.

Well, Ecko, for one, it's a lot more interesting than the "Get Boldin" or "We didn't get Cutler so now we're screwed" threads that we've had to read over the past few weeks. Second, way to go on the pessimism. Why don't we just forecast a career ending injury for Leon while Revis demands a trade.

It's more interesting to compare our WR to a team who isn't even in our division, and by the way, if it wasn't for how shitty Miami was, we'd have the worst WR tandem in the division...Anyway, to an NFC team, who yes lots of Jets fans hate since Giants fans can talk shit and we can't...

But seriously? AWESOME...We have better wide receivers than the Giants. Who will finish better?

It isn't pessimism...Its fact. We've come so low to compare WR cores to a team we play on occasion.

    6-10 here we come...

So we drastically improve the secondary and the LB corps, add some depth at the DLine, get rid of the cry-baby WR with shaky hands and concussion problems, and the INT machine at QB yet somehow we're worse off than we were before? You epitomize the quote in my sig.

The thread is supposed to be a fun discussion about WRs people in NY/NJ can watch every week and about whom we should know a good deal. If you don't like it then why bother posting? Just stick to the Cutler threads if you want to piss and moan about something. At least it would fit there.

The point of the thread was that both team's WR Corps were in bad shape. Both will likely be improved by Week 1. I think both are bad right now, but the Giants have the slight edge.

That "INT machine" is better than what we have now. So Favre throws picks, big deal, are you surprised? And just ignore his TD passes and actually have a QB throw for over 3400 yards since when? Vinny?

Your right, this thread is supposed to be fun, and I will continue to piss and moan about Cutler for a couple more hours then be done with it...

The thread was already flamed by 1290, no sense in me pissing on the ashes.

    My bad.

I think whether or not we drastically improved our secondary/LBs has yet to be seen. Leonhard, Scott and Sheppard all have a lot to prove and Barton was a solid baller. I agree with what you're saying though.

    Bart Scott > Barton
Lito Sheppard > the revolving door at #2 CB last year
Leonhard > Elam as far as coverage goes and > Eric Smith at everything except dirty hits

If the G-men didn't lose Buress or Toomer I would have said them.

^I agree with you there for Buress but I'm not so sure about Toomer. As FGF said, he kind of disappeared halfway through the season. I'm suprised Coughlin didn't slide Smith in there before Buress's shooting.
