    When a player is released, you really need to take a look at the reason WHY. The Giants have no true #1 and desperately needed him out there last year. And yet, THEY STILL RELEASED HIM. That should tell you all you need to know about this turd.

    Players have been released from other teams and gone on to have great careers with a new team. Talent wise there is none better than Plax.....He made a mistake and the JETS deperately need a WR of his calibre.

    1290 - You appear to want every malcontent and/or jailbird who has been a free agent this offseason. Vick, Plax, TO, etc.

    The Jets are a football team, not a halfway house.

    I'm all for taking the chance on Plax if in fact he can play this year--question: what's the probability of an NFL suspension? 4 games minimum seems likely unless the PA ruled it out in the last contract.

    The biggest impact this has on the Jets is that the Giants will be one more team looking for a good, physical, deep-threat WR in the draft. It'll be just our luck we'll be one pick from taking a great WR and the Giants will swoop in and grab him.

    The crime he commited has a mandatory minimum sentance of 3.5 years and Bloomberg is being a hardass. I doubt we see him for a while.
