What makes you think Sanchez will amount to an average QB at best? He has all the physical skills plus top intangibles to be a great one. One of the three on the roster will get their chance whether we draft a QB or not, I would like to be protected with our future QB when the likely scenario of neither of them works out comes to fruition.

Again, our FO and CS has no faith that either of them will work out, why should we?

What makes their situation worse then ours? TB you could maybe make a case for although they do have a QB with some experience on the roster although they do have just as bad a QB situation as we do.

Detroit is in much better shape, I am no fan of Culpeppers but he has had success in this league and is a stop gap for most likely the top QB in the draft. We'll see how it works out but I would feel a hell of a lot better with Culpepper and either Stafford or Sanchez then I do with Clemens and Ratliff.

I hate the lets see what we got idea do you guys want to go 4 & 12 again. With the team that we have playing at least 8 teams that went 11 & 5 or better last year this is not a playoff team. I do not drink the green kool aid like most of you guys we are not doing any better than 8 & 8 next year.

Agreed I would rather have Culpepper & the 1st & 20th pick than have Kellen / Ratliff & the 17th pick.

We will be lucky to win 4 games with the offense as is. Thankfully there is still a draft coming up.

This being the Jets I can not agree I would not be shocked at all if the went D in the draft & left the O as is.

We need another unproven ? at QB who has never played a down in the NFL, so get him.

Are you making a run at Don's title?

This being Rex Ryan, you'd better believe at least one high pick is going to shore up the defense. The O will be addressed in the draft, but it's not going to be as high a priority for Ryan as setting up his defense for the next several years will be. We will likely pick up a WR, RB, and OG in the draft, with one of the first two coming in the first two rounds. Given our holes, I'd like to think it's a receiver. Given Ryan's preferred offense, it'll probably be a RB.

I think he has the best potential out of any of this year's QB class. That being said, someone like Minnesota will move up to get him at 13 or 14 if Denver or San Francisco haven't grabbed him already. I don't want to pay to move up 3-4 spots when in my humble opinion, Sanchez, Stafford and Freeman aren't necessarily better than what we already have on the roster.

Here's to hoping this years top 3 QB's are off the board when we finally get to pick :beer:

Hope we address our other needs and spend another year waiting for an NFL caliber QB to majically land in the Jets Lap

If not drinking the green kool aid & saying yea things are going to be great is doing that than that is what I am doing. Our D sucked last year & to think it is going to turn around in 1 year is not being real.

No, sounding like a retard and posting drivel is what you're doing. I was wrong, though. You're not making a run at Don. He at least generally strings his thoughts together in reasonable attempts at sentences.

I studied his every throw in the combine and I was not enamoured.

Look, you are absolutely entitled to your opinion, but I think we are not dead in the water with what we have; just don't look for our guy to have a 4,500 yard passing, 31 TDs, 9 Ints, and rating of 95 or better next season. I still think it works out.

If things don't pan out next year, you can always point the finger at me and say, "I told you so", and I would have to respect that.

Believe me, I will gladly be on the receiving end of an I told you so if by some miracle one of the three does end up working out.I just don't see it though, mostly because our FO and CS doesn't see it either.

Thats real mature... wwaaaahhhh... want some cheese with that wine?

Your insulted and thats the best you can come back with? How about defining your point so you don't sound exactly like the guy he's painting you to be. Some organized thoughts and an organized argument.

    Just a suggestion...

I don't see anyone else here ganging up on you. You do realize Ellis and I have completely opposing views on the Cutler issue, yes? I respect his opinion because he explained it well and made his views clear with solid evidence to support it. When you do the same, we'll talk.
