Which was? I addressed the initial question (The poll one) with my first post in this thread. I wouldn't even take him if he was sitting there at 17. I have faith in our QB's.

I'd draft anybody just to bury Kellen Clemens further down on the depth chart.

The only plus for Sanchez getting drafted by the Jets would be the free gear and tickets it might bring.

I would hope with all the talk of us loving Freeman that Denver goes Maualuga or another 3-4 guy at 12 and then finds a way to hop over us with the Bears' pick and grab Freeman in the 13-16 range. That would certainly make it easier for Maclin to fall to us.

I don't see another stopping place if Maclin gets by both Oakland and Jacksonville, but I also only see Jacksonville going QB if Stafford is still available. They could like Sanchez, though. We shall see.

Well, The Seahawks had over half thier staff at his pro day and were by all reports fully impressed. Every Story after that said he will be take by them at 4 if he is there. I would love Sanchez and think he is the best QB prospect in this draft. That said, I'm not trading up to #3 for him. Its jsut too expensive.

Looks like Clemens and Ratliff are about to get thier chance.

I'm assuming the Seahawks are going with Stafford, but that of course depends on how negotiations go for the Lions with Jason Smith and Eugene Monroe. I don't think they want to spend the money there on a QB. They've expressed that they feel it's a burden.

just because a few draft sites have Stafford as the #1 guy does not mean everyone does. I see a lot more question marks around him compaired to Sanchez, despite the lesser startign time. Sanchez beign groomed behind Hassleback is a great QB situation to have.

Although it's not likely, i would be absolutely delighted if Maclin fell to us

Well from what I hear the chances of him falling all the way to 17 now is very slim. However if he is there at 17 grab him. And for all you people who are saying give Clemens a chance, he will get a chance because most teams play the qb with the most expierence in the first 4-5 games, and if Clemens does bad then it'll be Sanchez's turn.

Take him or trade for more picks if he's there at 17

I hope not. I'm not a fan of his. Don't think he's played enough games in college for me to have a good feeling about him. Not enough experience. Just means it gonna take even longer than it would with someone who actually put the time in when they were in college. However, that just my opinion. I mean what do I really know. :lol Just a fan not a coach, or GM. I just have a bad feeling about this guy.

With three young untested QBs on the roster, what possible sense does it make to give first round money to a fourth untested QB?????? I'll answer my own question. None whatsoever. Pass on Sanchez, or Freeman, or any other QB in this draft. Let's finally see what the Jets have at QB now with a real team in front of them, not the rag-tag group that was called an offense in 2007.

If he's there at 17 and the Jets don't take him the odds are 50/50 we look back at the decision in three years and ask ourselves again why the Jets are so cursed. For that reason alone I think the Jets have to take him if he falls that far. Our QB situation is not good enough to pass up an A prospect when he'll get 17 money instead of top 3 money.

Wow! I'm pleasantly surprised. With the numerous threads and tone of so many posters, I thought that the 'no' votes would be less than 25%. Guess the silent majority is smarter than I gave them credit for. :)

I think we should go with what we have.... but that said I think Sanchez is the BPA at QB in this draft and if he falls past SF at 10 I would think a lot about it and certainly wouldn't mind if we take him. I really like him.
Other question... IF the Broncos take Sanchez would you give your 2nd pick for Orton :D?

Denver is going to draft Sanchez and in case you didn't notice they have more ammunition then the jets to do it.

It is amazing how many Jets fans that don't understand how important it is to have a top QB. This is my 4th or 5th draft season on this board and every year it is the same thing and we still don't have a QB.

The FO and CS has no confidence in the QBs we have on the roster and neither should we. It is about time we do whatever it takes to finally secure a franchise QB. Pick whichever QB you like best and go get him for gods sake.
